In movies or on television, I have seen a lot of young and beautiful girls dancing quite comfortably on slippery floors with high-heeled shoes on. They have no problem in maintaining a proper balance of their body. How they manage to do so? Is it due to practice only or anything else?

I can dance with high heels just about any type of dance floor. It has to do with putting more of a balance to the front part of the foot. Yeah the more we dance the more we learn how to balance just about any type of floor.

I have danced in character shoes, there not really all that high but i danced in competitions and loved it all so much and would do it over and over again if i could. Now a days shoes are really high like 7 inches for a heel. I do have some of these and at first it is very hard to even walk in but you can manage them after you start to get a hang of them. There not that hard after a while walking in them. I love high heel shoes and am very girly and loe all the new high heel shoes they are coming out with now.

Practice helps alot. Also I wonder if they might have cork or something like it type of heels that aren't slippery or slidey. I would think that they would make some allowances for women who have to get around quick and easy on floors you describe. You never know. Maybe they are just co-ordinated!

They do take a spill or two. But it is edited out and the parts that are good for the viewership are retained. Remember these performers are professionals and are trained to dance under these conditions.

I think that they must train very much. This is a hard work. You can do like them if you train for a long time.

didi its just coz they want to look higher than other girls(sic), laughter apart I think its coz of their greed to show their status. You must have seen actress walking on red-carpet on heels more than their height. Why don't they accept their real height and stop showing the artificial one.

It's probably practice coupled with natural ability. They're likely very used to it. It's kind of hard to believe because personally I can't walk in a straight line when I'm wearing high heels, let alone dance! But they're dancers and they've probably been dancing in high heels since they could walk and it's no longer a problem for them. Either that or they just cut all the takes where they fell. LOL

it is due very strict and hard training that these girls have to maintain the balance in those slippery conditions, I do not think they can just do those extraordinary feats.
