What if God have give up hope on us?

During the past few year there are so many natural disaster that happen almost everywhere in the world, and many have been killed. The most recent is the earthquake happened in the Christchurch, New Zealand where there are more than hundreds of people were killed and the dead toll are still icreasing.
As what people always say that bad people will get their punishment sooner or later but it seem like not only that, good people also been killed during the all kind of natural disaster. Does it show that God have give up hope on human already?
What do you think if the God have give up hope and just let the people varnish from this world just because of human have made too much of sins? What is your view on this?

Many people claimed that they were good persons.
For me, only God can recognize the good persons and the bad persons.
Let God to judge out.
When the time for us to leave, then we have to leave.
Everyone has to die someday.
Before we reach the end of our life, we should grab this opportunity to make our life more meaningful.
Let's make it.

God can recognize the good people and the bad guys, that is what everyone believe. But in the natural disaster that took away many people's life which including good people as well, is that mean that is their time to leave and return to Him? Life is really vulnerable, we can never know what will happen to us tomorrow, so like what you say, we must grab the opportunity to do something good and meaningful!

You are probably right that He will never give up hope on us, but it seem that there are too many destructive action to eliminate human from this world recently with huge earthquake, hurricane and many more natural disaster that actually reducing the human population.

if God gave up on us,then it will be really scary.without Him,the people of earth will be nothing.I do believe though that the earthquake in New Zealand is not something He wants.due to natural movement inside the earth,it happened.He just let it be.I think if God already gave up on us,a much more scary disaster would have happened,and not just an earthquake in New Zealand. it will be a massive earthquake around the world.

I don't think that God would ever give up hope on his people. God is a merciful and forgiving God. He will explain it all at the end. For now, live your life as if everyday were your last with good will, praise Him and study His word. Only He can answer that.
