Depositing money while speaking to the tube

Okay, I got some letters before from my bank, actually credit union. They mentioned something about renovation, and today I return my visit. Something is different; they teller no longer there, only some monitors with a phone on the side. Two ATM - like machine on the side. I was confused, how should I deposit my money then. After I observe one or two customers come and go, then I realize that I have to speak to the monitor. The bank teller probably on upstairs, or somewhere else. All I have to do just pick up the phone, and speak to the monitor. Pretty much like video chat, only I am speaking to the teller on the other side. She ask me "how may I serve you today?", I demand a deposit, then I simply place my cash and deposit slip on a box, then the automated machine send it up. Then I will get my receipt. How convenient, and fast that service is. That is something different from the big bank.

Interesting, I've never seen one before. So is it a real person or is it automated.. because those can drive me nuts. I guess they did this for the teller's protection and to save time for the customers?
