What was your experience like when you lived or visited Paraguay, if you have? Paraguay sounds like an interesting country! It's the only other country besides Bolivia in South America that does not sit by the ocean. Seems like Paraguay had a lot of turmoil in their history with dictators and wars. Unlike other countries in South America, Paraguay has two official languages: Spanish and Guaraní. Guaraní is the language from the indigenous people and is the language used at home and Spanish is what is used in school and work. I was most interested in the Paraguayan Harp... it's inspired by the European ones but sounds a little different. Paraguay is also know for their yerba maté and tereré teas. Have you ever tried some?
