Ok, I am so totally pisssed off right now!!. When i woke up this morning and checked my email on my phone, I did notice that the last email I got was about 2:00am. I didn't think much of it. When I got to work I still notice that I am not getting emails. So I log into another email and send and an email to my main yahoo email. To my horror and total suprise i get this message: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: WTF!! how is that possible?? What is going on?? I didn't close this account! Now I can email from this account but I can't get any emails!! I have had this email for years and it's my main email address. I have every single thing linked to this account! I emailed Yahoo and I have to wait 24 hours before I hear anything. I am so stressed Has this every happened to any of you mylotters??? What did you do about it??

Wow, this is the first i have ever heard of someone not being able to recieve emails whilst being able to send them. Have you made sure that you havent violated any of the terms and conditions on using yahoo mail, as if you have, for eample spamming, they might be thinking about deactivating your account, but it doesnt make a lot of sense why they would allow you to still send emails from that email. Hope it gets sorted out

I'm glad that everything is working fine for you now. Sometimes that does happen to me, I think because sometimes websites have to do some kind of maintenance or upgrades. But they are usually back up and working fine in a few hours or so. I just wish they would give me some notice first so that I don't freak out about it.

Hi 34 momma, I am really sorry that it has happened ot you and since it is your main account for years so everyone must be sending you emails on this and probably business mails too. I had same problems few years back when couple of my friends told me that the mail they sent to me bounced. But next day it was back to normal even without sending yahoo any complaint.

Wow that has to be a bummer and know that I know how you feel. I did have this happen a year ago and although inpatient I awaited and it took about 72 hours before they replied. It made me fret wondering why I was not getting the emails. They responded that they saw no problem on their end and oddly enough my email functioned properly that day on. Because it was an important email address for me, I went ahead and created a primary email with Comcast and although I still have the yahoo, I rarely use it and say I lost trust with them because like you it was linked to very important banking accounts and that fret waiting period drove me nuts.

Ouch. I'm sorry to hear that. I don't think I have ever had a similar problem or experience like this. I just know that if my main email malfunctioned, it would be terrible because everything is linked to it! I just hope that Yahoo has a good explanation for what they did.

Check your spam folder, there may be some things there. I hope you have not been hacked but that it will right itself soon.

I haven't had that happen to me yet, but I have had my email account hacked and used to send out spam. I guess when you entrust your email to a public domain, there's no telling what can happen and no guarantee that it'll even be there tomorrow. I've seen yahoo close down two communities I was pretty active in, so who's to say they won't shut down the email service someday. It might be unlikely they'll close it down, but there's no guarantee it'll stay open either. xoxo Cyne
