Hi indahfth, My boyfriends mother lives in the country side of Eureka Springs and she has the same issue with flies what she tells me that helps her is that she puts water in plastic bags and ties them in several areas of her house. She says the flies don like movement, like when they see people moving they instant scatter for safety. So according to her tying up the bags of water and the motion it does causes them to fly away. She says it does wonders for her, so I hope this can help.

I've never heard of hanging bags of water. Interesting. I've got like 1-2 flies I see in my kitchen and I can't phantom how they survived this long in winter or where they came from. They drive me nuts knowing they are there and it's 30 degrees outside or less.

Hi Hwg... The plastic bag with water is common here too to repeal flies. Next to it we keep some dry leaves of trees in a pot and burnt them.... the smoke of it forces them to fly away... the scientific name of those trees are..... Media Margosat, ocymum sanctum.

Hello my friend..flies are seasonal in our place. I don't know in your area. Here, most likely, flies would be flooded everywhere whenever it would mango harvesting season. Another one is during off season of poultry farms. They would fly away since they don't have something at the farm since its off season.. I hope I made my respond right.. Mobhomeir here

For immediate solution, we lit up candles if there's a lot of flies around the table during lunch. This is to distract flies intentions the smells of foods. Candles especially those scented aromatic candles can eliminate bad stench smelly odors that can attracts flies, and these also makes the room air fresh. You can also use or put or place some charcoals. Our also main defense or no flies zone or even no mosquitoes zone and other flying bugs should not be flying inside our home, we use screens for windows and doorways.

You are doing everything right so far. How far is the trash from your door? Do you have screens on your windows and doors?

Waste disposal is very far, because every day, trash was taken by a garbage man.

If you wanna drive flies out of your house, put a lot of spiders in it. The spiders will eat the flies and will scare them away.

Hi Indahfth, Citronella essential oil or candles will help repel them. I keep a lot of animals an also find that sawdust will prevent them from going into hutches. Huggles. Ellie :D

Have you tried putting a penny in a clear plastic bag of water and hang it by the door to your house??? This is supposed to scare the flies. Something about the way their compound eye sees things. Next, plant a bunch of pitcher plants or venus fly traps. they eat flies. Lastly, be very clean. Don't leave food out and always keep the trash sealed.

The best thing you can do is make sure that your place is always clean as often as possible. Don't leave any food around especially biodegradable trash near your home. Maybe you can buy a fly catcher to help you out catch flies or use a fly repellant spray that could take care of your problems with flies. Maybe there might be a product you can use that's available on the market.

First, fix all broken window flywires and so that they cannot come in, second keep the door closed every time and third go chemical, spray mortein arsnal sprays. If it is a tradtional house, making a big open fire and the smoke will certain send the flies scream and running.

Well, in my country, some restaurants have flies flying around and it's making customers angry. And they always put candles on the table to repel the flies. And it's true, the tables that have candles don't have flies flying around. But I assume it'll be rather difficult to put candles all around your house.

hi indahfth well I live in the US in California and here where I live in Gold Crest retirement center we have no flies inside our building as we have screens on all our windows. If your have a house with open windows and no screens how the heck do you and your husband expect to keep any kind of insect out. flies, wasps, bees all are free to come into homes without window screens. get window screens for all your windows and see that they fit snugly. you will have no more flies that way.
