Never time but always want to.

It seems like I am always wanting to read. Maybe the newspaper, a novel, maybe a good mystery. Usually there is something always going on so I am unable to read for leisure like I always enjoy doing. I used to always find the time to read but it seems like every day there is less and less time. I guess I could cut something out of my schedule to read more... but then the questions comes up... What? So yeah, it is so annoying to me when I want to do something but no time to do it. So do you ever have a time when you really want to read or do something else for leisure and it seems like no time is available? Like that 24/7 for me these days!

I used to love to read, but hardly do any more. I remind myself that we all have twenty four hours in a day. I distract myself and go from one thing to another but never really get much done.

I feel exactly the same way you do. I always feel like I am doing 20 billion things every day and can never really see any advancements with what I do every day. I guess if we did not have to sleep then that would open up a lot more time to do things we need to do! Oh well guess I just need to get priorities in order and have some "me" time.

I used to read a lot, but since I started school, my time has been limited. I still find time though, right before bed. That is because I find reading before I go to bed settles my mind and makes it easier to go to sleep..So even if I just read 2-3 chapters a night, I am reading..:D

Well regardless of how much I do, I make sure I am done with my work, online and off by 9PM so I can read some to my son before he goes to sleep, so I read more than I let on...lol

Your lucky that your not so tired that you can not read before going to bed. I would love to be able to read before bed but it seems I am always so tired and can not keep my eyes open. Seems like everyone is getting busier these days.

Well, with my current computer problems, like the last time, I have a book sitting beside my computer to read while I wait for it to fix itself! Now, its been so pretty lately (less so today) that I've taken a book outside to enjoy the nice weather, have to enjoy it while it lasts because it'll soon be much to HOT!

oh yeah! It is absolutely TOO hot to take a book outside and read! In fact, I can barely tolerate walking from inside to the car, but I have been sick this week so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

3 months late, and I hope your computer is fixed by now. None the less I love when I have a great book and can just go outside and enjoy it for a little while. Now it is way to hot here in Texas and I would not be outside reading, maybe in the pool but not reading. Sometimes it's almost a blessing to have something break on us so we can take the time to do other things we enjoy!

I had the same problem. I love to read, but there is never enough time. By the time I have time to read at night, I am too sleepy to stay awake. I solved the problem by getting an eReader. Now I can read every chance I get. I love it!

See I also think I will just read before I go to bed but like you that never works as I am always to tired. Is an eReader like a Nook or Kindle? If os then I had seriously thought about getting one as it looked cool and I might actually have a little reading time to get in if I am in line or waiting for something.

You should find some time to as I know it always relaxes me when I can find the time to read. Maybe you could try one of those book review sites that I talked about since you do not have a lot of books right now...

I don't have much time either to be honest... but reading is something that I wholly and utterly love so I make time for it. I have to manage my time better. I never watch TV and I've really cut down on my time spent on the internet. I carry a book with me wherever I go and I take public transit which gives me lots of down time to read in! I can't go a day without reading at least 30 pages of a book... and I typically finish 2-3 books a week. Basically you have to make time. You probably do have time... you're just not using it wisely.

You could try audio-books maybe. It's not quite the same as real reading of course, but you still get to enjoy the stories you want to jump into. Figure out where you're losing the time. That's one of the things that really helps me to make time. When I realized that my combined time online was getting up to five hours a week I really cut back. As much as I love mylot, I don't want to waste all day on it! lol

I had thought about audio books but I just do not feel like I would get the same thrill; and excitement I get out of real reading. Yes I do agree I really need to take some time to sit down... make a schedule... and work some "me" time into the equation.

You are very lucky to have those little tid bits of time to read. Where I am there is no public transit so I am always driving where I go and I do not think reading and driving goes hand in hand. I also LOVE reading but it just seems it is slipping away from me. It is true I am not using my time wisely like I should and I need to. Just have to make a change.

hi with me its mylotting and also pain from my accident right after Valentines day. I end up with maybe a half hour before my roomie starts wailing when you gonna go to bed its ten pm. oh lord should I stay up to 11 would she croak from it? I doubt it.I spent over half of February and four days of March in the rehab hospital so am way way way behind on mylotting. I hope all my mylot friends for give me. I really am trying too. Each day I say I willstop mylotting at nine or eight thirty so I have time to read then I do not do it. just onemore response or comment and that leads to yet another. I know i am in charge of my time too so why do I not make time for things I love?Odd too as I am retired, no job,no children to care for, yet I run out of time.

Sounds like my busy is minimal compared to everything you have to do. If I had someone yelling at me all the time to go to bed or get off the computer I would go crazy. Same for me also in the fact that it seems I will be writing one more response then I see my email and there is another one to respond to. Always busy!

Oh I am sure I would believe it as I am sure mine is most likely just as bad as yours! Well maybe we will all get these books read one day or another!

Ah yes. I am experiencing that now. I want to read, I have a couple of books that I want to finish but I don't have the time for. Usually it's because the book is a little boring, or is not that engaging to keep me on tenterhooks. Haha.

Sometimes I will also find a boring book that I never do find the time to finish, but usually my case is I am just so busy I can never find the time to get it read. Hope you can find some new books that interest you more some time! Happy Mylotting!
