There are many youngsters now especially in our country India who do not know their own country well but are well informed of America, UK, Canada, Australia and other western developed countries where they desire to go for a lucrative job after completion of their studies. Do you support this attitude?

Hahahaha, who says that jobs in America are lucrative? That's funny. They say we are no longer in a recession, but that is such a lie in fact we don't have hardly any jobs here because it is cheaper to ship them out. I would caution anyone who thinks that they can have a better life in the United States because if your country needs to be improved it can always be improved. But, my country was great and powerful and wonderful economicly speaking and now it's crashing. But, most people have their head in the sand about that.

Are you aware that Asian Americans, and that includes people from India, are the highest paid people in this country? They earn $12,000 more than the average American. You also need to consider the work they do. Many people who come from India seeking work in America are computer experts and software engineers. These fields pay very high and frankly, there's a shortage of American citizens that are qualified to do the work. That's why Bill Gates keeps pushing the government to issue more work visas for those jobs. As for the crash, the economy has pretty much bottomed out already and it will go back up. The only threat to that is if the government keeps spending more money trying to create jobs. They need to back off and let things improve on their own.

Our Government also pays people to come here from other countries to encourage many qualified people to come here and work. Yes there is a shortage of American citizens qualified to do a lot of the high expertise jobs... and I'm not opposed to people from other countries coming here to fill those jobs. But, I also must point out that not all the people from other countries are coming as computer experts and not all are realizing the American dream. I have met a lot of people at my school that were Nurses in their native land... and thought they could come here and pick up on a really good job. But, the United States does not accept Nursing licenses from other countries so many of these people had to go to school again and ended up as Medical Assistants and LPN's which is really not the type of jobs they were aiming for. It's really sad to me to see that happen. Or to see Doctors come here thinking they can practice here and make more money and have to go to school all over again. At least with computer people they don't have to take those tests over again.

This is the same in my country. They look for better chances in development countries. I think that this is normal. People always want to reach to the best things. However, there are many talent people serve their country with shorter benefits. This is depend on their country loving.

It is true that better job facilities are available abroad in the western countires but it is also true that everybody has a duty towards his own motherland which he cannot deny.

I agree that people really should learn more about their own country. Unfortunately it seems that India does not have as many lucrative jobs or job opportunities as the US and other countries. Many of the wealthiest Indian Americans I know work with computers. For some reason there seems to be very little software development and computer manufacturing in India. Much of it is in Taewan, South Korea, Japan, and the US.

I live in the US and I think that other countries peoples see our country and the others you mention as a no holes barred where their countries have certain limitations and traditional strickness that they may feel constrained. Freedom is a wonderous thing. Too much of a good thing can violate moral and educational boundaries big time.

I work at a college. We have alot of students who come to this college and wish they could stay! After they come here must want to stay becuase it is so much better then were they live! Some of the international students come from poor countries. Once in awhile a student is able to get a visa and stay here to work after they graduate. Some plan to come back after they go home. Most of them, for whatever reason, never are able to come back! Even though the United States is not perfect is a whole lot better then some countries, like some are in africa!

I have it too here. The youngest want to go to Australia for good life , pay, improved and free life etc. Many make it through education and others especially young girls who can not do it through education make it through marriage.

Yes and no. If an Indian has a dream to work here in the States I am rooting for them to make that dream come true . But they Should know the rich history of India. It would be sad that me, a Yank would know more about their history than they! Knowledge of the other land you Want to work and live in is great but you Must know about your native land too.

No, I don't support such an attitude. It is up to the parents to instill pride in their country and inspire children to stay there and make it better. While America needs bright minds and people with a need to prosper and who are not afraid of working, India and other countries would be better to keep those bright minds at home and offer them opportunities so that they can improve their own country.

Well, you can't really blame people who just wanna be successful in life. Yeah, they're from another country so they should know their motherland before knowing other countries but one can't help but get their interest hovering on other well-developed countries. It's like this, look at an under-developed country as a Kia and look at a well-developed country as a Bugatti. The Kia is a car being offered to you by your parent. The Bugatti is being offered to you by your friend. If you're only allowed to choose one, what would you choose?
