Philippines

Hello Lotters I don't know where this is going but am a bit sad right now. It's half an hour after two in the afternoon and it's supposed to be the perfect timing to mylot. But NO! I couldn't think of that freaking laundry that i need to wash it up today. I am so slow with doing the manual thing and unfortunately, our a decade old washing machine doesn't work anymore. Sorry fellows, if you have respond to my previous discussions and no comment on them yet, you know where I'll be. just hate being busy, but i got to Have a nice day.

Yup and after they wash themselves they should have the courtesy of folding themselves and skipping right over to the drawers. LOL.. Laundry is such a routine and constant chore. I don't know anyone who actually enjoys doing it. LOL

Hello Hardworkinggurl, Yeah! They should be doing that so that I wouldn't be in so much trouble doing it for them! LOLZ but that would have been a freaky if that happens though. Sometimes, it's an excuse that I need to make in order to keep myself from other house chores that my mom wanted me to do. But I only do when she's not around. Have a nice day.

Well I am hoping that someone like Bill Gates invents some form technology method because computers these days are replacing humans all around the world so I figure why not invent something where the push of a button all chores can do themselves. Then I wake up and the laundry calls me by name, lol.

don't you think LK needs to get someone beside him all the time, as in, why not look for a wife? she complains a lot about house chores.

Love the title letran, if only clothes can wash themselves...lol But I hear you, I have gone through stages of being without a washer or dryer. (dryer isn't too bad unless the weather is very cold and/or rainy, then the clothes never dry) I times when I was bent over the bathtub washing my kids clothes because though we could have gone to the laundromat, my husband has the car most of the time and the place would close before he could get us there. We could only do laundry on the weekends, but during the week, if one of my kids needed something and it was dirty, I'd have to wash by hand..The worst were the denim jeans...

25 Mar 11
Ugh, Oh yeah, I remember washing those jeans...That is why if my washer has to break down, I prefer it in the summer when it is hot and jeans are rarely worn, or at least the long jeans, jean short are worn, but not as heavy...

Hello Carmel, I don't even have the dryer my friend, but we do have a windy climate these days. Not to mention that it's summer so it's easy enough to let it dry on it's own. I have a hard hand that makes a squeeze out of the water in these things. Jeans are definitely hard to wash by since it gets heavy when soaked with water. But am fine with that since I only wash one or two jeans. Have a nice day.

Washing. - Laundry
Hi sweetie. Well, if you do it quickly, it will be done faster don't you think? Something like this.
• Philippines
24 Mar 11
Hello saphie, Unfortunately, that's something I still need to improve. Not to mention am using the same method of water consumption, which is pretty too much and too wastely. Recent years, i've been doing my best saving water as much as possible. Being quickly, is something far out but hopefully I can find away to hasten it up. Have a nice day.

Be careful what you wished for Letran! It would totally freak me out if the clothes suddenly strangles me because they got tired bathing themselves!
• Philippines
25 Mar 11
Hello Sweet_pea, hmmmm..i never really thought of that, maybe it was a bad idea thinking about it. I guess I said this out of frustration or something. Well, It seems there are things that are left life less than those who are actually shouldn't be allowed to have a life. I can't imagine my pc going live and complaining of using him all the time. Have a nice day.

I guess some things are better left the way they are. We might like the results initially, but in the long run it may not give the desired results. It is a possibility that it may back-fire at us.

Yes I am back doing my washing by hand but I prefer it, I do my washing daily and take the big stuff to the laundramat...I find soaking and gentle washing is so much better on your clothes.

and they said machines do much damage to our clothes so hand washing is better.
• Philippines
24 Mar 11
Hello lilac, Yeah, I saw my brother's washing machine doing it's job but unfortunately,it's not doing what the hand can reached. It can swirl around on and on but removing the dirt is probably inaccurate. Good luck on hand washing too and have a nice day. I guess the hard way is the best way though.

I am fortunate to have a working machine, and do not know what I would do without it. Hubby will put laundry in the machine, and he will put it in the dryer, but he does not take it out when it stops and fold it and put it away. I hate it when the clothes get all wrinkled.

Hello garden, Well, that's a good thing for you there, it's really hard using hands alone and the more you do it the more hands are pressured. Doing laundry is part of live of doing house chores, even if you use washing machine it's still part of house duty. Glad to know you have a machine at your side. Have a nice day.

Have fun at the laundrymat or doing what you can by hand. I know how much it sux not being able to do laundry for one reason or another. Even worse if catching up with all your wash finding out you don't have anywhere to go w/ it all is no fun either.

Hello Bunnies, I am doing it by hand and not with the washing machine. Our Washing thing is a decade old and believed to have malfunctioned and consumed too much water. Well, what kept me from getting bored is having a fan and a radio while doing the laundry. Have a nice day.

har har har. if only the clothes can bathe themselves i am sure they know how to ran away from you too. my wife loves washing clothes. she does that almost everyday... specially now that it is hot. she loves to wet her hands and our son loves helping her... he loves being at the water. so the sorrounding feels cool for she use the water to wet around so it is not that hot. if is easy to wash it manually if you soak it with water and soap. then you kuskos piga later.

me and my son helps with hanging it, to dry. then we 3 help in folding it when its dry. my wife make sure i fold mine and keep it inside my closet treating me like a child har har har. my son plays with water... but that is what we do when its too hot, we go to the back and we three bath there. its a free get away no need to pay for a resort har har har.

Hello Seven, Oh, NO! I don't want my own clothes running away from me! I got only a few clothes that I've been wearing for years. Besides, it's too expensive to buy one now and RUN away again. I hope you're son is not into playing with water because it's gonna get her sick for sure. Am sure your wife loves to do laundry as same goes with my mom. Anyways, I hope you do help her once in a while. Have a nice day.

It would be great if the laundry could take care of itself! Why can't someone figure out a way for this to happen Just think of the time and effort and energy that could be saved if the laundry washed and dried and folded itself. there would be time for other things besides this household chore!
• Philippines
25 Mar 11
Hello Sender, that is so right, but if the laundry acts like children starts polaying with water, just imagine that's a lot of clothes wasting you're water. Well, that would have been swell, they get to clean themselves while I got to do some other house chores, it indeed saves time and energy to do such. Have a nice day.

Hello ybong, I do that sometimes since am mostly at home only these past few years. But I guess I got other things going like this new commercial rent, perharps I should focus on these instead. Have a nice day.

I wish clothes could wash themselves lol. Why dont you just bring it to a laundrymat? They wash your cloths for about 20 bucks. I mean you shouldnt do that often, but if you`re in a rush or dont feel like doing it, why not? lol
• Philippines
25 Mar 11
Hello Jeffrey. 20 bucks is a lot of money! Probably you are referring that in the states right? I feel guitly if I won't do it though. We have laundry kiosk here in the neighbor hood, but despite of my rant on manual laundry, id seriously rather do it on my own since I can do it anyways, and it's just once in a week. Have a nice day.

I wish clothes would learn to bathe themselves too! Hand washing is something I rarely do because it is too hard so I feel for you having to do a load by hand! There is one advantage and that is the clothes may last longer because I believe washing machine spinning can spoil delicate things. I wash every day but I use the machine and take the clothes out before it starts to spin. I find hanging the laundry out is a pain not to mention putting it all away when it’s dry! Hope your chores don’t take too long LetranKnight...

Hello Paula, It's hard though when things are not what it supposed to be easy when cleaning clothes. I only wash when my clothes have started to pile up. And it's some thing that I hate doing but can't afford to have pile of crap in the hangar. My chores does take me almost a day and gets me really tiring. Have a nice day.

Same thoughts here too..I wonder if clothes does bathing themselves perfectly well, i would be so glad. Most of time, i find myself doing double work cleaning it again. My hubby knows my mind and got a new machine last week for our anniversary..so far going good. Hope nothing should change, cant think of finding my clothes not clean after they got dried up and again wetting them..uff
• Philippines
24 Mar 11
Hello besthope, It's not easy cleaning clothes because my hands had to dry up completely, hard to believed that things are really not that easy to use my hands for. As for the new machine, I hope If I would by mine it would be more of a support and less water consumption. That's the life of laundering. Have a nice day.

apart from your discussion making me laugh, i cant help but admire you now hahaha well not all guys can actually admit to doing the laundry. good luck and happy washing!

Hello Nikramos, There's nothing wrong with doing laundry. Women like my mom had a lot of things to do and it's better yet to use my MANLY physic to use it in laundry. I mean, if you woman can do it then so am I. Besides, I've had with my mom complaining about how stink the clothes are, rather I would do it myself since it's mine anyways and have gotten used to it. Have a nice day.

Hello Letran! I laughed upon reading the title of your post and that leads me here, lol! How I wish we could actually teach our clothes to wash themselves, lol! Oh my,it's really hard doing it manually my friend! You really need some help, hehe! It makes me smile whenever I hear a man doing his laundry,I admire them! My hubby is a great laundry man, lol! When he washes our clothes,I noticed it is whiter than mine, arrgghh!! The fact that we both use the same washing machine, lol! I guess men are more conscious in cleaning clothes than women,in my own opinion, hehe! See yah! Goodluck to your laundry, hehe!

Hello Mtrguanlao, I noticed that my mom focus more on how fast it could be in order to get it done quickly. But I beg to differ knowing that it the last time it didn't clean much on the stains. Though, I do the “kuskos” thing instead of relying much on the rubbing material for the clothes. I am more conscious in cleaning my shorts and pants. I get lazy when it comes to my shirts and tshirts. Have a nice day.

Hello Catch, I am not sure why we are still keeping that OLD RAG washing machine that doesn't work anyways. Not to mention it's wasting more water than it should and malfunctioned a lot of times. Never really liked washing clothes but I take time and pride since it's my own, actually it just gotten dry and I have fold them already.
