OMG! Do you know I need to rewrite this discussion all over again because I really haven't got used to using the laptop's touch pad. I usually use a mouse whenever I use a laptop or a computer. Unfortunately, I don't have one right now and I only borrowed my brother's laptop. He doesn't use it because he pretty much can navigate it with the touch pad. But poor me, It had taken me so much time to start this discussion because every now and then something undesirable happens. My screen view was small awhile ago, I must have done something to make it bigger. And when I was about to submit this discussion suddenly all that I have written disappeared. I am really much frustrated right now and I have a lot of things to do here at Mylot but it is taking me slow because I don't have a mouse! Was it easy for you to use the touch pad? Or like me, do you have problems dealing with a touch pad? Would you prefer to use a mouse instead?

It is more challenging for me to use a touch pad, but I do not have a mouse for my laptop. I often do not have room to use a mouse when I am on my laptop as well, so I have not bought one. I could easily get used to having a mouse if I bought one for this computer. Good luck with the rest of your posting.

Hi GG! It is indeed a challenge to use the touch pad. But If you get used to it, I think it wouldn't be a problem at all.

Oh gosh then I must be posh! lol. Not only do I have a wireless mouse but I also have a wireless keyboard. The touch pad kills me. I cannot stand typing and all of sudden the cursor jumps all over the place because my palm or something touches it. I also purchased a stand so my laptop sits up high like a pc. Hey I figured for the little it costs me this girl must be comfortable while spending so much time her laptop. I especially like all my added gadgets because none of them have wires, I hate wires but I guess that would be another discussion. LOL..

I really think you would need a mouse with the quantity of posts you are posting here HWG. You would have been crazy if you've used your touch pad instead.

I can relate as their is no way I could use my Laptop without the mouse. Trying to get it to navigate etc, like I want is not fun. I did invest in a mouse for my lapop when I first bought it, but most of the time use my desktop to save on batteries for my laptop mouse for sure.

Yeah, it is just irritating to use the touch pad because if you aren't used to it, it just is over the place. You might as well invest in a mouse pad to make it easier for you.

Hi Sweet pea, I can so very much relate to this. When I first moved into this apt. and before getting my internet connection hooked up, my daughter let me borrow her lap top. I finally got a signal...had to sit in the corner of my kitchen and then trying to navigate without a mouse was just so so frustrating! Recently, I borrowed it again while my computer was being repaired only this time I discovered that I could take my mouse off from my desk top and hook it into the laptop. I didn't know that...never had a laptop before. I imagine if I used it enough that I would adjust but I'm like you...I like my mouse.

It is a matter of getting used to it. My brother can pretty navigate well with it. I really don't have much choice but to use it since I currently don't have a mouse with me now.

I am kinda used to using the laptop's touch pad. I been using this laptop for over a year now, I guess. There are some programs that really needs mouse, So that you can do the task easily. But with mylot, even if I have no mouse, I can do it nicely with only the touch pad.

Good for you Neil! I think it is just a matter of getting used to it. It would take me sometime just to get the hang of it.

I completely agree with you, sweet_pea. I cannot get used to the touch pad at all. It is slowing me down when I have to use it. I accidentally touch it and the cursor goes somewhere, or that I am too afraid to touch it and I typed really slow. Either way, I like using mouse wayyyy better than using the touchpad. I rarely use my touchpad. Call me old-fashioned, but that's the way I like it.

OMG there it was again. My comment to you was deleted even before I can submit it. I would have posted twice as much if only I have a mouse. What a waste specially I haven't reached the minimum payout yet and I only have 3 days to go. I need $1.50 more.
