Do you help other people keep up with the news?

I seem to have lots of friends that don't see any reason to keep up with the news. But then if they get arrested for laws that recently changed they're the first ones to cry about it.
Laws that change that effect more people here:
Our Credit Unions will report overdrafts as illegally taking out funds to the District Attorney. You will be arrested. Meanwhile, our Banks are allowing overdrafts (charging crazy rates for it, but still better than being charged with a crime).
Letting your car idle unattended. If it's stolen, they'll fine you.
Not having a carbon whatever oxide detector in your house is illegal, not just a smoke detector.
The first law, I no longer have a checking account with a Credit Union, only savings. Too many overdrasws and some businesses, if your check bounces, they also go to the district attorney.
2nd one, I try to be in attendance when my car is idling now-even in sub-zero weather when we used to always leave our cars idling until the oil started going through it and the car heated up enough so we wouldn't freeze to death. The police were sick of trying to catch thieves who stole cars that were idling in people's yards
3rd, you have to buy what you have to buy to make them happy. I guess it will save lives. Of the three, probably the one that makes the most sense to me.
They're thinking about a new law whereby you have to clean your car off totally before you drive it, no snow to go onto other cars. I think we need to build a garage, it's impossible to get all the snow off a car. Someone had a chunk of snow hit the car behind them, temporarity blinded them and it cased an accident. They want no snow on your car before it leaves the driveway or parking lot or side of the road if you park they're at a business. How many people are going to get hit by other cars trying to clean off their cars that are parked in the streets while they were at a business and it snowed? I take as much off as I possibly can, but all of it?
Up here, my friends have cars and checking accounts.
The latest news, check our twenties. A counterfeiter just got caught.
So are there people that you help keep up with the news so that if it effects them, they aren't the last to know?

I try to share any new information, pretty much with my children and boyfriend especially if it something that can help and avoid certain circumstances. It also is a way for us to share ideas and thoughts as to why or what is happening.
Most of my acquaintances generally are well informed also, but we have have from time to time shared news happenings because we could never be too informed when it comes to crisis.

Very true, in an emergency, no one can be too informed.

You are right as we cannot live in a box. We must know what is happening in our surroundings as well as all over the world at times, as we just do not know if it can happen to us too.
Thank you for the BR!

Just within my household, mostly. I have a friend or two who might share news with me or I with them. I think my circle of friends is pretty well informed.

That's good.
Things are changing so fast here. They seem to be making laws where they will arrest us for breathing and then for not breathing some day.
