First thing to do is question whether you entered any contest. 2nd thing is do you really feel that any real contest would advise you of winning in an email? Anything that is not familiar to you that you open is most likely SPAM and of course once opened you are in big trouble. I have my computer protected by about 3 different programs, and ues it is time consuming but even as careful as Hubby and I are virus and other bad things creap into our computer.

Hi tikbalang! what a name! I don't normally give such details to just anyone. But even if I would love to, I don't have a reliable bank account and no credit card at all.

You are right I do not believe it. I get so tired of these spam notifications. I thought that to be able to win any type of prize one had to enter a contest. Surely there are not any idiots who actually believe in that crap.

It is so hard these days to really entrust any emails and or prize notifications. I am one of the ones that is more inclined into believing it is a scam then thinking I would actually win. I think I feel this way only because I have not been too lucky in life and even with hard efforts I have lost in so may ways. So I try to comfort myself by saying if luck would have it for me someday, I will welcome it, and if not entering means I loose out then it was not for me, lol.. But if some win, hooray that is good. Enjoy your winnings!

I never really got lucky with luck. Even when I entered any contest or bought raffle tickets, never really won a thing. There was even one time, during a company Christmas party, our boss provided TOO many prizes that it was nearly impossible for one person not to get anything unless he didn't attend. I was like one of three people who never got anything even a pathetic gift wrapper. I'M THAT record-breakingly UNLUCKY!

You should've post this under thinker. I have been sitting here ponder what to do with your money. It's really a bummer that people play scams on others to enrich their own pockets. Your absolutely right, because of the possibility of a scam someone could be truly missing out on something that could change their lives forever. What's real and what's not. I just wish there was an easy way to tell. I think it's wrong for people to scam anyone but I find it even worse to scam the elderly. These people live the entire lives and save for years to have good retirement and someone takes it from them. Best Wishes!

Sadly, I think that might happen. I have known of someone who told lots of lies or exaggerations, so when she told me something I needed to know, I did not believe her. Even sadder, it is my older sister. Enjoy spending your "winnings" my friend. I always know I could not have won something, I do not enter.

i receive a lot of this kinds of email. but i do not read them. i know they are just trying to get information from us, important details. i ignore them and delete them at once. oh, by the way, they are all landing in the spam mail, so i have no problem deleting them.
