Hi Ganesh, No I don't feel that the earthquake in Japan was anything but a natural disaster, and the people had been expecting it for a long time. They were very well prepared and I'm sure hoped that it would withstand the quake. It just goes to show that we can never be truly prepared for what nature can release. I think that they made a mistake by depending so heavily on nuclear power. Life in this world will end for many people in 2012 just as it has in all years before, but the world itself will not end. We can only be as prepared as possible for natural diasters and also everyone must be willing to help no matter where it strikes. The one thing that we can really do something about is man made disasters caused by wars etc. Blessings.

We have yet to see what happened next. Maybe it is a sign that the end is near. If the natural disaster is gaining control of the earth, the human race is slowly being wiped out from this world.

I know it's been more severe but these are normal occurrences in these parts of the world. I don't think these catastrophes are heralding the end.

No. This is a very old planet and things are always shifting and changing. I saw a story a couple of years ago about Yellowstone Park. It is on top of an old volcano which has been dormant for 60 million years or more. According to the experts, it is overdue to blow. If it were to do so most of the middle of the United States would be destroyed. But that is not likely to happen any time soon. As far as the 2012 prediction, I'll believe it when I see it. People have been predicting the end for years and years. Only God knows...

I don't know about this. I don't really believe it. But look back, those 2-3years, too many countries, fire, earthquake, snow, flood... People say that 1999 was the end of the human, but we R still here. They say the sun would be exploded in 2050, no idea. I don't know how 2 think about this

Quite honestly, it doesn't matter. I may be run over by a bus tomorrow and be released from the 2012 experience all together (shrug). I see the whole 2012 theory as Y2K to a Mayan beat. Whatever way it may go, we have no power to stop it, despite how wonderful we think we are and we can't plan against it because total annihilation doesn't leave loopholes for consideration (apologies to Mad Max)..oh well.. Enjoy!

May be it true. My thinking goes that earlier to our fore fathers period the world might have got destroyed by the Natural calamities and the world might have got regenerated. That is why, Columbus wanted to come to India by sea though there were no communications. So, it may be that, the same thing may happen. Here and there some people may survive and they may start new life and educate their children about other part of world.

I think it's really silly to assume that next year will be the end of the world. Who are we to even predict that? We're just mere human beings after all, who knows what God really thinks? That's why it's up to us if we'd continue to procrastinate or change for the better.

Maybe yes maybe no. We cannot deny the fact that all these things that has been happening around us might lead us to think that maybe the Mayan Prophecy might be true. Whether or not the predictions are true, the best thing that we can do is to live our life to the fullest, spend most of our time with our loved ones, try to change ourselves for the better.

What they said is utterly groundless.I wonder what their purpose is in saying such a frighterning thing. What if we are safe and sound 2012? Earthquake and other natural disasters that are independent of human will occur nearly every year,do they all declare the end of the world?

A friend of mine told me that it was really in the Prediction of a certain show here in the Philippines. But mind you this is not the end of the world. It was just a warning for us to take care our Nature.

There were lots of doomsday theories but until now earth is still existing and surviving no one can tell why mayans only made date until december 21,2012 but lets not put our faith with their prophecy they may have own other reasons why its until 2012 only. There's still hope guys..

I think it's possible. But it could be the beginning of a period that we don't know how long is going to last either. Not the end of the world but a sort of new age. It may mean a new beginning. But mother nature shows us it's self messages we need to listen to. The world could end anytime before or after 2012 for many reasons. But it's not something I try to worry about everyday. I just hope I will get to see my grandchildren one day. My daughters are only 10 and 5 they still have so much to see and learn.
