All diseases that were once claimed to be controlled if not eradicated totally are found to reappear again with more and more virulence. Examples are malaria, tuberculosis and so on. Do you think it as an underassessment or misinterpretation on the part of the medical professionals or anything else? How as a common citizen of the society you can help to prevent the reappearance of those diseases?

I think they are never eradicated, but only suppressed, when there is favorable surrounding for the germs, viruses they reappear, multiply.. May I know you are an allopath, homoeopath or aurevedic doctor.. Thanks for this discussion Happy posting, cheers. Namastey. Kalyani

Yes, some diseases are resurfacing this days, and you might wonder whether those vaccinations were really working.

I think such kind of diseases can only be controlled and never be eradicated....as a good citizen we can only help the people to heal from them quicker and safer....there are so many vaccines to prevent them or cure them but eradicating is quite impossible....for example, malaria is occured from mosquitos, we can cure the disease but cannot kill all the mosquitos in the world....waht do you say???

Hope to help prevent the reappearance of these diseases? Report the onset of symptoms that might be one of these as quickly as possible so they don't spread. What about the Diseases researched at Plum Island and all the controversy there? Here is an article written about the place: http://factoidz.com/plum-island/

As humans we tend to put too much faith in the ability of our medical professionals. After all, they have gone to school for years to get the depth of knowledge and understanding that they have. What does the common man need to do? Many of these diseases were eradicated by medical professionals of the past making suggestions to the population that were followed and thus disease free! Woohoo! Like medical professionals of the past said 'hey stop making toilet trenches next to your houses and wash your hand.' and people started doing that and disease rates drop. The problem is that now days a lot of people have gotten lax about doing basic sanitary stuff and they expect that if they get sick they will just to the doctor and have them fix it. So you see a lot more diseases of yesteryear popping up again. The biggest problem is that since these diseases have been out of circulation for so long that they are coming back adapted to old methods of treatment, so knew methods must be created.

I think that it was at the time of the findings of these diseases and treatment, they found what they thought was a cure for them. They seemed like they eradicated them but they just lay dormant for a long period of time. All it takes is one case of any disease to bring it back to life. You also have to look at germ warfare as a possibility of these diseases making a come back. Look at the shape of the world today. Does the Medical industry know everything? NO, they don't. They want us to believe they do, al they are concerned with is MONEY not a cure.
