do you remember the first massive cell phones!! / myLot

Do you remember when cell phones came out? They were for "emergency use" only because they were so expensive, and they were massive. They were bigger than home phones now. I remember my mother saying it is for emergency use only, and it was only taken on car trips. That was not that many years ago. I am 25, and our generation has experienced all the technological change that is so fascinating. To go from those days to now our dependence on cell phones...I can't imagine my life without my cell phone now...I can't even imagine a day!

I think that I do. In the old days, many services and phone features were limited. They did not have hand held cell phones out at one time. It was a phone that you could use that was in the car. I have always liked these kind of cell phones.

I remember the times, haha It's so funny to think about it, the cellphones before are huge, you are right about when it comes to price and the size of the unit. I remember having a battery pack bigger than Home telephones. hahaha The so called cellphone at that time was beepers and there are lots of them around, but you cant receive calls from them only messages. hahaha I also remember cellphones at those times, they does not save contact no. and their names, so what you do is you have to memorize all you contact numbers. I never want to go back at those time, such a stone age era. ^ ^
