In looking at the other answers, I wasn't sure if you were asking about registering a domain name or hosting a website. Some answers were about one and some about the other. Mostly I go for .info domains because they are generally a lot cheaper. I have seen them anywhere from .89 to 1.99 depending on who you bought them from. Many people try to stay away from them because they are cheap and it might give people the wrong impression. But to me, cheap is better. My friend wanted a .com domain and it cost $10/year through namecheap. I guess a lot of it is how important a given extension is to you. I was seeing prices as high as $100/year and I would NEVER pay that! I had trouble convincing myself to pay $10. Oh, and as someone else mentioned, most sites are listed in USD. Good luck with that.

Domain names are usually for sale in USD so that varies from time to time with your local currency, which effectively changes the cost of domain names so it is hard to be specific and it all depends on what you want also as they do vary in price. I always used to recommend GoDaddy as the person above has, but I am advising everyone to avoid them now as it has come to light in the last day that the CEO of GoDaddy is an elephant hunter who gets his thrills out of killing these majestic creatures! Lets all boycott GoDaddy for the sake of all animals on earth.

Hi there! I am totally clueless about what that GoDaddy is all about (I'm not internet savvy) but I'm saddened to hear that someone has the guts to kill these animals for pleasure. That is very, very tragic. I hope karma gets to him fast.

Yes, hopefully the karma will bring down his business and stop him acting like this ever again. Lets give him something to think about!

I have three domain names I have registered to me and I paid different amounts for each one. The first one I managed to buy the site for 89 cents (believe it or not) on EBay and paid $60 for hosting for a year including registration. The second one cost me $15 and the third was included in the $60 hosting also so I would guess it depends on whoever hosts it. Do research because there are a lot of good deals out there.

Hiya syoti, Actually I did not know that you had to pay more for a Domain Name if you were from a certain part of the World. I usually do a research thing before I look up Domain Names and choose my own in the end. So sorry I canĀ“t say this one is better than the other that sort of thing. I make up my mind after a lot of looking around though. Me living here I have found the prices to be the same as what it put on the Webpage that was selling it.

First question you need to answer which domain you wish to be under. The list of registrars are found in the following url: http://www.icann.org/en/registrars/accredited-list.html In your case, if you want to register a .ph domain as in http://www.syoti20.ph then you need to go to one that is responsible for the .ph domain like: http://www.101domain.com/ph.htm It shows that it cost $56/year. The price differs based on who you register with. Some may have it packaged with the hosting cost.
