Since it's just me, I much prefer a small house. The one I have right now is too big. If the housing market wasn't so bad I'd try to sell it and buy a smaller one. I only need a kitchen, a living room, a bedroom and a room for an office/craftroom. I don't need to heat, cool, clean and maintain four extra rooms.

That would be wise. With the present economic situation, a mansion needs big maintenance.

A mansion is definitely bigger than a house. I prefer a smaller house to a larger one. Much less to maintain and I dont have a lot of stuff or people. Pretty soon it is just going to be me, my best friend, and my dog in a two bed two bath apartment. I live with family right now and I am super excited about spreading my wings!

A house is just a basic house. A mansion is a lavish, spacious and sprauled out home. Usually mansions are fancy and large as a house is small and planer. I would like sort of a middle of the ground type. Big enough to hold all the things I want but small enough not to be obnoxious.

For me I want a bigger house than the one I have now. My problem is there are too many things in it. I must try to throw away some things and assess the space again. But I do wish for a bigger house. I guess its always greener...
