Making right a mistake

I have been waiting for a Mexican console table to arrive that I bought on E Bay. I sent a message to the seller asking where is my item. He said the courier took it to my postcode that I used to have. I moved in the summer of last year and now live somewhere different from that. I thought I had changed my address on E Bay but I had only changed my contact information. I feel worried if my item is on its way to the wrong address. It might have already got to the lady that moved to my old house.
Have you ever had a mistake that you have been able to make right again?
What do you think I should do to get my item?

I've done the same thing online myself. I have also had money go to the wrong place when I moved my business to another location and had a check arrive in the wrong business name (that the bank absolutely refused to cash).
It happens to others as well :)

All you can do is call your old home and ask if they can help you.

Hi maximax8, I hope the hospitable and helpful neighbors or friends who live near your old house would help you in this. Try to contact any of them via phone or email and ask them to give your current address to the lady who lives in your old house. So that she can give it to the courier and asks him to resend the parcel.
Or you can inform the the company straight away to stop the delivery. Give them your new address and ask them to deliver to your new house. Of course I would make mistake occasionally especially when doing thing in a rush.
I belive there is nothing impossible but couldn't deny that time is needed.
Happy postinhg
and have a niceday

If you don't have that postcode anymore, most likely it arrives at the wrong address
but if the new owner knows you you can ask for her to send it to your new address
which is extra s/h but it's better than not getting it and seller is not mistaken in this case

I don´t know if there can be done a change in the package, once delivered, frankly, I don´t think so. I´d recommend you to get in touch with the people living in your former address, and let them know that you will receive a package by mistake in that address, hopefully, they are good, honest people. You can inform the post office, maybe they can do something, after all. wish you luck.

Hi!
I hope that will not happen to me. I think what you can do is get the airway bill number and contact the courier company about your problem, I believe they can help to do that if the item have not delivered to your old address. So far I have not have such a mistake yet that I have to correct it. If that really happen, I will definitely find a way to make it right again.
Hope you can get your table send to your new address soon.

Did you give the post office your new address? Or did you tell the new owners or renters that in case something arrives to send it there? Then it should go back to Ebay. But since Ebay deals with people shipping from their own homes pr businesses, you have to get in touch with the original shipper. I would also get in touch with the lady who bought your old house and tell her that if there is a console table, that either she could ship it at your expense or you will drive over and pick it up.

Oh gosh I don't know what you could do about it. I would say if there was a tracking number perhaps the service delivering it could make a correction? **crossing fingers** that you are able to get your item.
