The weather man and the computer had it looking great all this week. Just rain was called for on Monday (yesterday). But it wasn't supposed to freeze! Got my bonsai's planted got 9 that I don't know what they are and a cedar, planted some dianthus 2 in the toilet in my front yard, and 2 in planters. There is more that I got planted yesterday but that is all out in the yard. The planters that I had set out for the sun a couple of days ago we had to rush them in the house late last night because of the weather man. We didn't get the news till 10 last night when we heard freezing we was bringing in our plants. My husband had his tomatoes still in the pots he had grown them in for the last month or two he had to bring in. I think that these things are in the bible. Don't know where but somewhere it says that we won't be able to tell which season we are in the end times! I hope none of you had plants freeze on you either! Thank God we got the plants all in and they are not froze! So have you had your house plants out yet? Did you get a sudden blast of cold air? What excitement have you had in your life lately ? I can't wait to get the plants out again!

Did you move the toilet in the house also? I would not have liked rushing around after 10 pm trying get all my plants in. Maybe that's why we don't plant anything. My husband keeps telling me he wants a garden. I tell every year great have fun gardening. Needless to say, he's never planted one. I did enough of that as a kid.

Hi Sswallace. Thanks for the laugh. No this is a toilet that a friend gave me that we wanted to plant flowers is. It is a hillbilly thing I guess....LOL I wouldn't know what to do if we didn't have a garden every year. It is a great way to know what is on your salad. It feels good to know there is nothing that isn't good for you on the fresh vegetables that we get out of our own garden. It is a great way to relax and forget all the other things in this world. Plus you get the satisfaction of knowing everything you eat out of your own garden is good for you.

Hi Sswallace. I think some of the vegies at the store don't taste as good as it does when we pull something out of our garden. Maybe it is all the work we put into them that makes us feel good about the fresh vegies. Thanks Best wishes to you too my friend!

You have a good point about the fresh vegies. When you buy them at the store, who knows what has been sprayed on them. Hope you have a great day. Best Wishes!

I have learned over the years that here we do not put houseplants and tender crops out before April 15, so I do not. I did plant peas on March 17, but that is normal, you can plant them as early as February. We have fruit trees blooming. Two years in a row we had snow in the later part of April. I think we need to pay attention to what is happening each year.

Hi GG. Our fruit trees are starting to bloom I can hardly wait for the apples I want to make an apple pie. Our weather is really strange this year. One week we will be way above normal and the next week we will be way below normal. I hate the weather this year one week it is like summer and the next it will be like winter won't let go. Thank God we didn't have our tomato plants out yet. Only got lettuce and broccoli and cauliflower out. Thank God. I think we need to pay attention to everyday of the year.

Well, our weatherwoman told us last night we'd get rain in this area but she didn't say it was going to be so heavy it was like having buckets of water thrown in my face! I chose to go out as well as I wanted to pick up a parcel from the Royal Mail Depot. It's not that far away but it seemed to take AGES walking because of the wind and rain hampering my progress! I wasn't amused. However, when I found out what the parcel was my mood improved. I write to a friend down south who's from St Lucia and he sent me a shopping bag from his last visit there, so that was nice of him. In my raised flower bed it's very yellow as my shrub has the springtime flowers on it and the daffodils Mum planted for me have all sprouted and look very nice indeed. I don't think they've been that impressed with the weather either, although daffs DO like the rain. Well, they've certainly had a major drink today lol.
