For all the female mylotters, do you drive a truck? I have driven a truck once when I was on my learner's permit, I drove it for a veyr short distance and I didn't like it for a bit. The steering wheel was so big, my arms and legs were too short, it was just uncomfortable; I'm a tall person so I was suprised that I felt so unreachable to the pedal and to the wheel. I think truck is more for men than women anyway. I thought I was very big on the road though, no wonder why some truck drivers drive like bully.

From the perspective of someone who's never driven a "Rig",(the biggest thing I've personally driven has been a minibus or a Panel Van,and THOSE things are not the easiest to drive from a spatial awareness viewpoint)-there are blindspots someone or another vehicle could be hidden in-I'd prefer having someone guiding me while reversing! So I'd say Yes,a Big Rig/HGV would be more difficult to drive-after all,a full driver's License is required to learn to drive one of them here!

Just before this job, I was in an small office where we shipped crates to different parts of the country. Sometimes, when everybody has left and somebody has to wait for the truck, that responsibility would fall on to me. I remember times when a woman would come in driving the truck. She wouldn't help me load the crate, so I had to drive the fork lift. But she was very nice. And she had her son in the truck. I think that she was babysitting her son while she drove around in the truck.

Good for you that still you had experience to drive such big vehicle even just for a short time and distance. Know what? I admire women who are good drivers, of course much more of you. You had tried what can you still have done despite of limited capabilities of women. Well wishing you could have things you still want in your life. And for woman full of courage like you, for sure you can have it. Happy mylotting.

Nah,it would simply be too big for me.I'm too tiny and too slinky. My father used to drive a truck when he was trying to get the driver's license.Even he found it a bit hard to control it.Maybe it's because he's too thin. Have a wonderful day!

Women today could do what a man could do... but when it comes to physical capability we have a little problem with that... but that is not our fault since it is just normal. However, good job for trying it.

I have driven a truck. I will say one of the small styled trucks like a Ford Ranger isn't too shabby to drive. It's the big dogs like a Silverado that are not very easy to drive. SUVs are easy to drive though if it's snowing and making a tight turn they make me feel a bit leary.

Have heard SUV is not easy but I think it is better than the big pick up truc.

I drove a pickup for over ten years. I had to have one in my antique buisness. When i sold my store i traded the truck in a a jeep liberty. I didn't need a truck anymore.

I drove a big dump truck regularly several years ago. My husband at the time was a rural plumber and laid septic tanks and the lines. I took trucks to the rock quarry back and forth about 3 times a day hauling rock for the work he was doing. After the rock was hauled, I helped him lay the tanks and raked rock into the lines. That was really work out in the hot sun day after day. Good way to lose weight.

That sounds like some hard work you have done! It is not bad to do that as exercises.

I used to when we had one but I really did not like it I prefer a small compact car like a Honda Accord or Honda Civic even though I don't have that kind of car but I would like one one day. I felt it was uncomfortable fro me too because I am short and it was a Dodge and I could barely reach the peddle!!! I am glad that truck is gone and it used a lot of gas too and as high as gas is now I don't miss it at all!! Have a good day

I have driven moving U-haul trucks, Vans and SUV's. The U-haul truck was so scary while driving it but after being on the road with it for a bit I got use to it. I had to go to another state with furniture so it was a long haul. I would not want to drive a truck for a living. I found it hard to see on the sides to change lanes and of course I could not see anything behind me. So I was shaking each time I had to change lanes. lol

Is DURANGO a truck? I don't know exacly what u mean but I had a DURANGO for more than one year I loved it sooo much! I am short and it was not a problem! And tell you the truth I felt much more confortable driving a big car than a small. No I have to drive a small car because the gas price is to expensive. Anyway it was a great experience!

I have never drove an actual truck with a bed in the back but I used to want one when I was younger, for the 'I rule the road' feeling but now that I am actually a driver I cant stand those people. I have driven a few SUV's and I love them, Im about 5'6 I thought it was so comfortable and fun but when it comes down to it, I think I would like a smaller compact car that I can control easy and whip around with no big deal.
