Do you imagine Heaven to be like CS Lewis's Narnia

Narnia is a beautiful world filled with heartful creatures and amazing stories. The lion is one of the greatest characters ever written. Do you imagine heaven to be this way? If you read Revelations, it's a slight bit similar to the books.

I loved the Narnia books, and I have felt that many great spiritual truths were depicted there. I really like CS Lewis non fiction as well. Since this discussion is about heaven, may I recommend a book? A friend just loaned me the book Heaven is for Real, by Todd Burpo, and it is the story of what his son has told him about what he experienced during a life threatening health crisis. It was really good, and such a blessing to read. I think sometimes children can be more truthful about heaven.

Yes, I've imagined heaven to be much the same way. We actually just talked about this in a Chronicles of Narnia study in our young adult Sunday School class. I love Chronicles of Narnia! I've lived and breathed them since I was little. I'm almost done re-reading the series for like the umpteenth time! I really love Christian fantasy, and I'm constantly on the lookout for more books like the Chronicles of Narnia (I have found MANY by the way!).

cs lewis handcrafted the story wit such love and beauty that it' amazing how the imagery was brought forth in the movie. The story was made into animation earlier, but it was nothing like the witch, lion and wardrobe.

I really love the Walden Media movie, but I love the book even more just as a book lover. I wasn't fond of the animated film or the old BBC movies. I think the best adaptations of the novels are the Focus on the Family radio dramas, but of course those are radio dramas and not films. But they actually did ALL SEVEN. I really want to see all seven adapted to film. My three favorites of the series, The Magician's Nephew, The Horse and His Boy (my absolute favorite), and The Last Battle, have never been adapted to film.

maybe it helped that the writer was Christian, is this correct? :) If Heaven was like that, then it would look great, really imaginative. but i do imagine heaven to be a truly pretty place with lots of clouds

No I never connected the two but I guess it could be. I always saw it as a place of personal heavens. To each his own so to say.

I have a friend like that, it's like she thinks it's good for children, but doesn't see anything personally about the bible in Narnia. There's alot of books revealed through imagery in the plot. It's for all ages not just for kids.

I believe Heaven is still somewhat different from Narnia. In Narnia, there are all those battles and adventures. I think it stands for the spiritual realm right now, in this world. There are a lot of battles in our lives and we always do not see the light even though Aslan is there, always guarding us. In the books there was also Aslans country. I believe that can be compared to Heaven.

Yeah, i figure that too, but my mom and i just love the lion and the animals that speak which in the bible said all the animals will be as docile as that. I know there are bad beasts, but the kids' friends are more docile as the good ones.
