Oh so here we go making the candy for Easter has begun. Molded chocolates, truffles shaped like Easter eggs, birds nests both noodle and coconut, pecan turtles, cashew snails, peanut butter/coconut/fudge/raspberry large eggs, and my favorite chocolate dipped dried fruit pineapple/apricots/bananas. Once those are done it will be on to the baked goods. I go to the stores and see all these candies for Easter and I had to wonder if anyone else still makes their own or is my family the last hold outs?

Yup. They are a canned Chinese crunchy noodle held together with caramel, then dipped in chocolate or white chocolate. Then a few jelly beans added for eggs. Very yummy and cute to boot!

How smart u are to do that. I have done alot of cooking in my lifetime but never made candy. My grandmother & mother always did that & i never learned how. Good thing, lol, i sure don't need it. Happy weekend to u.

I used to always buy my Easter candy and other holiday candies from the stores only. I just recently got into candy making on my own. I enjoy making my own chocliate molds and chocolate lollipops. a piece of my heart goes into making each one and the appreciation for my efforts is more than just a dollar sign.1 person likes this
