My friend posted an iPhone on craigslist, some crazy bidders

My friend show me last week, that he has his iPhone posted on craigslist.org for sale. There were couple of people call in and ask for the price, and the condition of the iPhone, but they simply asking, and not really willing to buy. But one respondent actually without money, and he needs an iPhone so bad. He called, and he also sent an email to my friend, if he can exchange it for another valuable item. He would like to trade that iPhone with his hand gun, a pistol, with picture on the email. Won't that be crazy? What if that gun already been fire or hurt someone before? Some crazy people on craigslist.
