Genetic factors are genetic factors. Your genes are with you from the moment of conception and nothing can help you avoid their influence.
A child is, naturally, affected greatly by the environment in which he is brought up but whatever genes he has inherited are with him for life and will take effect regardless of his environment.

A man's life is governed both by genetic and environmental factors. Son of a criminal usually becomes a criminal, both the factors working simultaneously. But if such a son from infancy is kept in the custody of a saint, would he be a saint or a criminal? What factors would manifest to the maximum, the genetic and environmental factors?

There is no evidence that something like being a criminal is genetic.

Certain genetics will be with the child for life is my thinking but then we must also consider upbringing, influence and environment.

No. If it is genetic then there is no escape! It is internal. It doesn't matter who raises them.

If it is genetic I don't believe he can. If it is just something inherent in the family then I would think he could very well escape this influence. Genetic and inherent are two very different things. I thing perhaps the genetic characteristic may not show up as quickly but it will be there.

Yes, I think you will also see they will not think about tracing their biological parents and so forth. The love for their adpoted parents will be stronger than people adopting older children.

The baby is born with the features (nose, eyes, ears, mouth) of the biological parents.
The physical part is inherited, what about the internal?
If the parents have diabetes melitus, im sure the baby will have at least 50% INHERITING the same diseases. There is only 50% of it, unless the new parents are able to take good care.
Most babies will inherit the father's blood group. So, it all boils down to the father at times.
Becoming bad is easy but tough to become good as well.
Genetic influence is there, but teaching and with God's blessings can work too.
We can alter the genetic influence.what the father (parents) have become was onced built along the way when they're still alive.
Sure you can alter them. Good luck to you. :))
