Yes, they do not work at the moment. I mentioned that on the discussion. I have sent the FR to GAA to find out more on this. I want it to work again so that I can post something on each of my friends profiles. And yes, thank you for trying to post your comments on my profile. Hope it would get attended to and we will have greater friendship with many of our already great friends.

zralte, Many of us have tried for lengthy amounts of time and it will not work. There is a program glitch for as long as I can remember but no one has seemed to fix the error.

hello dear sids, I am not much with "profile comments" would prefer to send pm with friends. It's not because i don't want to get to know more of other mylotters or,i don't want to be closer with mylot friends. I always love to know mylot friends,like offline friends where we can talk a lot of things. Maybe there is just a right time for everything. Like,the more inter-action,the closer we knew each other and more comfortable to asks more. Happy Monday dear bhai

Yes, when we are closer to our great friends, the option or need for the other things doesnt arise because my aim of this discussion is to gauge how many of my friends are believeing and interested to make closer friendship relations that can gobeyond MyLot if the need ever arises. I am happy that you are open and like me, are doing good for the friendship that kind of develops between us.

i rare to drop some comments in my friend's profile since my comp it is long to load that profile page. i only put below 10 comments to my friend i think. i am sorry, but i have to make a hard effort just to comments in their profile- i am easy to give up so i prefer to make response and comments in their discussion.

it is good that you have still 10 kbps dyeng. sometimes i just got 0-4 kbps..that is totally annoying and i feel dying to wait for one hour just to open my email

The profile comments section does not work many of us have tested repetitively and it does not work. We have simultaneously tried on numerous profiles to see if some work and some don't, but none do. Absolutely it would be nice but the system is not allowing us to do so.

Yes dear, it does not work even today.

I felt sad that those who needed this feature back, did not continue to discuss and this feature got neglected. Again, many who used it when it was all okay, send more of smilieys, animations etc... but lacked the main objectives - comments of appreciation or worthiness that could prove so very vital for the newbies when they visited the profile of a senior.

I think it is great that you have posted this--I hope admin sees this and fixes the problem. For me, not only can't I post any comments on anyone else's profile page, I can't edit anything on my own page, either. I have emailed GAA, and have tried everyone's suggestions, and no luck. I have seen discussions that indicate that many are having this problem as well as the comments problem. I think there are quite a few glitches that need to be fixed!

Thanks for sharing your views and I am hoping that there are many Lotters who are facing issues with profile Pages. I agree that there are some scripts that need some fixing and repairing. At this moment like many on this discussion, I can hope that that GAA shows some way out

Hi friend..

Even i wanted to comment on my friends profile including you.. But unfortunately this feature is not working for me too!! I had received some profile comments on my old account and in this new account too. But when i tried to comment in others profile its not working at all !!

Its not like all of us having this problem.. Some users having this facility on (not sure).. Viji had commented in my profile few months ago.. So she having it on.. But i guess i am not that lucky.

Thanks for putting this point. It will help me when I put it across to the GAA. And yes, you have a comment from Nishant too that was 2 weeks back... Now it complicates the matter but it also brings me hope that some flaw in the script and not that they are planning to stop it

Hello dear brother,

I was very particular on profile comments especially if there is any celebration, festival etc

. Now I don’t have that facility any more. Earlier, they allowed even animated graphics, later they made the restrictions for graphics but texts were allowed. Slowly they banned everything. If you post any comment in any profile it will be there for few minutes and after you search the same it may vanished in thin air. Now I don’t waste my time for profile comments because it is very disappointing to see the end result.

I dont think that they would have banned us from using the comments. Because if they did ban this feature, it would not have been showing on the profiles. Yesterday I tried a lot on 3 profiles but could not succeed. So I did the search and found that it is some problem with the scripts. Hope that our discussion here would get to GAA and they will fix such a wonderful tool for greater relationships.

I think it is very nice to get a comment on my profile. I don't check it as much as I should. I guess I have got caught up in the community. I think the last comment I got on mine has been a long time ago. I haven't checked though. It can be very interesting to look at profiles. I always do so before accepting or requesting friends here.

Of course dear, the community is more important. As many of us gauge the person to friend or not by viewing their profiles, I think it would be better if one would find someone whom s/he knew about had commented on this to-friends profile.

I think the non-responsive nature may be because of either - MyLot doesnt pay for the activities on profile(this is not the main reason). The main reason is that they may be occupied or also it was gone by the time they tried to revert back.

Hi Sid, Just so you know, I find myLot very hard to navigate through. Responding to discussions, however--that I can wrap my brain around! :P Some things just don't seem to work, at all. Like the blog function. For me, learning my way around yet another social networking site isn't exactly fun. I spend most of my social networking energy on a couple of Ning sites, a bit on Facebook, and some on Blogger/Blogspot. Thing is, I visit profile pages a lot on Ning! Why? First of all, because I CAN! :P Second, because those sites are more focussed. For example, Powerful Intentions is a site that focusses on more popular forms of esoteric philosophy and practice--especially Law Of Attraction. So, I've got an idea what it makes sense to talk about, there. myLot and Facebook are so general, it's easy feeling a bit lost. Of course, one can join groups, but I'm in groups in my Ning sites. In fact, I've started some, myself. Another thing, I disappear from myLot for periods. Do you know why, Sid? I do this to weather out negative discussions. And, I do check out profile pages on myLot--mostly to see what's positive I might get involved in. But myLot is not a Positive Thinking website, or anything. (Even Powerful Intentions gets very negative, much of the time--so it's understandable that I have to bide my time at myLot). Anyway, that should clear up some things about my choices in this area. I'll see if I can be a bit more proactive about this stuff, Sid. However, I can only apply my energy in so many directions. Sunshine & Blessings, Giovani

Dude! I think I've given you the wrong impression, Sid! :P Negative discussions are simply something that happens from time to time. Pouring gasoline on the fire is not my style, is all. But myLot is not significantly worse than any other site. So, there's no need to miss me. In fact, thanks to your technical discussions, I'll probably be interacting in MORE ways through myLot. It's just that there's a learning curve. I won't be surprised if I'm contradicting myself, by now. Being consistant is not really my style, either. Yes, that is so true. Many sites are quite content specific and that makes them special. I can understand and also relate to that one. For your staying away from the Negative discussions here at MyLot, well, I am sure that we have been given the rights to skip to the discussions that we feel comfy with and I do that most of the time. I do not respond to all my friends and also stay away from discussions that can cause me any inconvenience. It is quite sad to know what you are hinting to, but yes, I know I will miss you here.

Yes, commenting on someone's profile has so many advantages - you get closer and also the newer members get to know what others think about you just by reading what your friends say about you... If we get back to the time when we are allowed to use the Profile comments, I do not know about others, but I will be on all the profiles of my friends, sharing with them what I think about them... It will be so wonderful

Hello thesids, When I was able to do it last year -- It was working still March or April 2010 --, I never posted anything. MyLot suppressed this possibility without a warning and I believe that these comments will be totally removed soon.

Oh... That will be sad. I know this one has been misued like its main purpose was to share some words of appreciation or kind of words that would add to the profile but it was mainly used to put New Year wishes, the glittering images etc. that might not have been the Intention. If this is the reason why it has been rendered useless, we are to be blamed for letting go of an important utility that could have helped people getting closer. It could also have been used to put What Others Thought of this profile holder and the newbies could have found it more useful. However I still want to get what people at the Backend have to say as I believe if the intentions were to remove it(after the misuse), they should have removed the feature already as it might be confusing the newbies

The profile page is personal. A button for the owner of the profile to remove a bad comment would be good, but I do not see what is bad in New Year wishes. I think that the staff at myLot is asked every week to repair it and they are waiting the right moment to declare these comments old and obsolete. A bit sneaky, but I cannot think at a better interpretation :if myLot did not intended to suppress this comment feature, you have to admit that it takes time to repair

I think mylotters always busy with taking part in discussion and little bother to do friendship in mylot. Majority mylotters focus on earning. People use facebook for social network but not use mylot for it. Hopefully, mylot will turn to social network site like facebook day by day if mylotters want this change :-)

I am sorry that your FR to me is still pending. Yes, you are quite right, many lotters are more interested in the Discussions and bother little about the friendships. But that is not me. I am busy making my friends and I have no idea how it works on FB or even Twitter. They are quite unappealing to me. I believe that MyLot is much better a place to make friends because you get to delve into the personal lives of many people and also help them and they help you solve out your real life issues many a times. Where else you get to have this?

Thanks for adding me as your friend in mylot :-) Yes, I also believe so that mylot is a better place to do friendships and social networking. Mylot creator should give a thought about this issue and facilitate more social network like facebook. Mylot mainly focus on survey program (discussion). However, it can include more things to encourage mylotters to do frendships here.

Honestly, I used to check the friends' profiles when I used to be here daily(a loong looong time ago). I never put those flashy comments but would comment on the pictures. But it's been atleast 2 years since I've had the time to check anyone's profile (including mine).....and am ashamed to admit that I haven't been a good enough friend on mylot

I also like to receive comments and testimonials in my profile. Somehow it does help boost your personality and it really makes you feel good. It feels good that you have great friends who really appreciates you for who you are. I also do the same to my friends because I want them to realize that I cherish their friendship. This small act can actually strengthen your relationship.

Hi, I never tried to comment on a Friend's profile yet..But I do send email to some of mylot friends...I guess commenting on profile page is a good idea. Thanks for bringing the topic out....God bless..
