Do you have a secret life?

Do you have a secret life? I do, I live a whole different life in my head, my reason is because the life in my head seems to have no value to those around me. So I just keep it to myself. I do share some of it with mylot. But I don't think it's wrong to live as you must, I don't mean harmful to others or anything illegale, I just mean the day by day work and interaction with others that needs to go on so that you can get along in the world. But inside is a whole different me
and I feel this is where the important things I do in life are kept.

I think the life that goes on in my head is the life I aspire to someday. I understand your statement that "the life in my head seems to have no value to those around me." I seem to have very different values, ideals and goals to most people my age or most of the people I come into contact with. I live a decent lifestyle but it's not the one of my dreams. It's still going to take me more time to get to where I want to be but I will get there. The life I live in my head is what I believe to be the real me... not the "me" that society tends to dictate me to be.

I completely agree with you, GardenGerty. I had a glimpse of the life that I want several years ago but, for a multitude of reasons I couldn't control, it was taken away from me at that point. The life inside of me is very much more fulfilling and rewarding, on a personal level, than the one I live now. I live a good life, don't get me wrong, but the one inside me is definitely larger.

I think this is an interesting idea. I also can see that the world does not understand the secret parts of us. I believe that is where our dreams live as well. Yes, we still do what we must, take care of the living things around us, and live our hidden life at that same time.

For me there is the life I aspire to have and which I would hopefully be guided toward over time and there is my inner self, the ‘me’ that is only known to me. I do open bits and pieces of the inner me to different people for different reasons but I don’t think that there is anybody who knows the authentic me. Another lesson for me is to allow more and more of my genuine self shine through.

I think this way there is a secret life in everybody's head. Very few people expose themselves completely in front of others. In fact, there is hardly anybody like this. We need a secret life so as to not to get swayed by the situations around us. It keeps us balanced and in touch with our inner-self. But at the same time, it shouldn't make you a loner.

Ha how much i would love to have a secret life as a spy! or even a vampire or a werewolf or an angel or astronaut who has a spaceship that travels to and forth to Jupiter. i also want to write so many books that people will have a tough time reading them etc etc ha so many things to do :) LOL but no in my real life i just like being myself...but in my head - thats a different story :)

i suppose i do in some way because most of my friends and co-workers don't know that i write too as well as being a crafty sort of person. (i make my own cards and have finished making 4o for a baby shower for church.. i have another 50 to make for a wedding shower at church too!)

Well that doesn't mean that you have a secret life, it's just a life that you would like to live, but you don't.
And the only people that could answer are those that are CIA officers or spies:) , and i don't think that anyone is gonna answer on mylot about this.
And yes, i have that life that i would wish to live in my head.

I don't think it can be considered as a secret in your life. I guess you are just feeling alone and lonely so you tend to pretend that you are fine. I was been like that, when I have this emptiness inside, spiritually empty. I hate that kind of feeling but I had the courage to look for a way that I could be able to over come it.
You need a rest, vacation, enjoy your self try a week of not thinking of your problems just chill.

There is different between secret life and virtual life..I have both:D
Virtual life it is in my mind and in my laptop ..HOW THAT??!!
I have imaginary life in my mind that i wish to be in it and have life of special way.On my laptop with my friends on chatting.
but for secret when :D i have one that away from my normal life and i know that alot of people around me will be shock if they know.

What I would call my secret life is my spiritual life within my soul in my human body. When I meditate I enjoy my spiritual life. Thoughts, wishes, desires and wants I keep for myself until it can become true reality. I think integrity is important.

Yes. I do have and everyone I think do have a secret. Nothing wrong having a secret. Sometimes we need to keep a secret just to save a relationship and to protect someone.
