My house feels like an obstacle course!!

Well just a few minutes ago my phone rang. It was my husband calling, because he calls me every night from work to tell me good night. I had already talked to him earlier in the night so I didn't think he would be calling again so I didn't bring the phone to the bedroom with me. Well the phone rings, and I make a mad dash for the phone. Well low in behold there is a pack n play next to my bed for my daughter, and my wonderful 130lb rottweiler is laying next to it. So getting out of the bed trying to run for the phone I have to move the pack n play not knowing the dog is next to it, and pretty much fall over top of him. Then with one leg straddling the dog he decideds to stand up. So as I am trying to stand up so is he and I am still stumbling out of the room to get to the phone. I then navigate my way around the few toys my daughter had left in the living room in front of the tv and grab the phone. When I answer the phone, my husband is like what took you so long to get to the phone. And I explained to him that I just had an obstacle course to get thru before I was allowed to answer. lol. Does your house ever feel like an obstacle course like mine? :)

I am a clutterer/collector who is married to the same type, and my son has had to move back in with us, and he has lots of stuff. It is, however, the cats that commit the final assault on my sanity, because they believe in being under my feet, on my lap and in my way. I really loved your description of trying to get around the dog.

Thanks. :) I have four dogs, and I could swear that they are about as bad as cats always under your feet, or around your legs. I am so surprised I haven't hurt myself yet :) lol.

I imagine if you fall you will land on one of them.

My house doesn't feel like an obstacle course but the calls are too frequent.Sometimes i am away in my toilet or at some other place where i can't reach and others also don't pick up and it infuriates me.I at these moments get frustrated as to why the others in the family don't pick the phone.Luckily for me the dog has a few select spots which don't intervene with our walking path in the house.

That is funny because that happens all the time. It always seems like when the phone rings it is in the other room, or that everyone else in the house forgets how to answer the phone. lol. So glad your dog isn't a speed bump in the rug like mine are :) Thanks for the comments.
