I am new to mylot hence I guess I have no stars added to my profile. However I was just wondering what is the difference between the blue and red stars with ratings in it.Does all the stars mean the same thing or is it like the blue star is for positive response and the red one is for negative?

User Ratings and MyLot Reputation (the 'star' value) are explained here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx You will see your 'star' rating when you reach a User Rating of 100.

Each star (1 to 10) has a different colour. The colours appear to have been chosen randomly.

Hi there, It would be best to visit the links that owlwings provided because many mistaken the distinction between them and utilize the DRS inappropriately. Using it inappropriately affects their own rating. I cannot stress that enough because I have seen it daily. Best of luck to you and I do see you did get yours.

Hi darkrider, it is best not to worry too much about stars , but go about posting and taking part in discussions .However, stars are an indication of your popularity here . There are some who get a 10 star with just 400 posts and that is definitely not because they have contributed a lot but because they have friends who are voting them positive and making them stay at 10, thats what it is. I have seen some older members who have contributed for years together still on star 8 or 9. So as you go along you will see that what is far more important is what you post and contribute...
