Yesterday, as we ran out of time to go home for lunch, me, my husband and my father in law decided to eat out. As we are on our way to our favorite restaurant, we passed by a newly opened small restaurant which is serving meal with unlimited rice. Because I am with men, I told them to try it out. For every order of a meal which is good enough for 2-3 person, you are entitled for (1) unlimited rice. We order 3 meals to have 3 unlimited rice, but because the quantity per order is big enough for big eaters, we take out one meal. We are very much satisfied with the taste of the food and they even serve peanuts and free soup so we will never get bored of waiting for the food. It was past 1pm so the waitress has few minutes to have a chat with us. We learn that the owner of the restaurant is a Korean who was married to a Filipina. He was very hands-on in operating the restaurant and even have time to cook in the evening which costumers could have a free taste of his dumpling before buying it. He even do the interview for new applicants for waitress in the restaurant. And they serve mostly Filipino cuisine. The good thing with this restaurant is that they are charging a reasonable price, our total bill is only Php 255.00 or around $6.00 including our take out. Would you love a restaurant like this serving unlimited rice? I think my family will do...

Here we have 2 kinds of hotels/restaurants here, they serve as full meal or half meal, here for say 100 rupees one can eat as much as one likes, but i have seen when one eats much the servers avoid coming near you, this kind full meal is good for heavy eaters, another point here you have no choice, you have to eat what they give.. another is plate system, you choose items, eat what you like, good for me, i don't eat much.. thanks for this discussion..

Well i really like restaurants that offer these kinds of promos but unfortunately some are not offering them anymore because of financial reasons.

There are many resto here in Philippines offering that...but sadly when I eat out I don't have a big appetite!!! So, I opt not to avail since it would only be wasted but if I'm with my siblings(they have an inhuman appetite ) they avail that promo...I think it let's us think that were saving a bit with our dining payment but I'm not sure

I come from a rice loving country. We eat rice 3 times a day. We can eat a lot even if our viand is small, as long as we have lots of rice. A lots of restaurants have already opened here that caters eat all you can unlimited food. It's also cheap so it ain't a problem really.
