Do you mind your birthday very much?

As a common people,I don't seriously remember my birthday. Many times when my birthday came,I wasn't aware of it until my son or my wife told me. This morning my wife left home for her online community party. But she returned halfway because the party was postponed for the rain. When she arrived home I could see she had bought some nice food and fruits that I love.I asked the reason, she gave me an apologetic smile and said she had forgotten my birthday,it was on April 14th!Hehe,I could do nothing but giggle. Since my son lives in his school far from home,as usual this evening my lover and I celebrated my simple birthday with the food that she bought for me,adding a bottle of beer. How do you deal with your birthday?

I love my birthday. It is the one day I get to choose what I will do. In my family birthdays are a reason to celebrate . We never focus on the age of the person anymore but we do try to make the day fun for the person! I have never forgot my birthday. Happy Belated Birthday.

Birthday for me is a big deal though I don't actually celebrate it with a lot of people. For as long as they remember and greet me on my birthday, I am satisfied with it already. I just hate it when no one remembers it. I'd like to believe that birthdays are meant to be special :-)

I am not so big on my birthday as its another day. I am do not put much into it at all since I just leave whatever I am given as gifts up to other people. Getting some wonderful surprise would be nice for a change. But it just doesnt happen. Last year tho, my husband went out after I fell asleep and bought me a cake, orchid plant and some cards.

I remember my birthday. I have gotten to an age that I would rather forget but it is a part of life as we know it so I abide. But I find it very nice when family and my BFF remember them every year, year after year. Simple is very nice too. Doesn't have to be some lavish affair but just something quiet and romantic is very nice. And,oh the memories such things leave us too.

I don't think my ex or any of my close friends could forget my birthday. I remind them all of the time. It used to be more of a special day than it is now. It seems when you get older it is not as important. A simple birthday dinner with special food would be very nice and romantic.

Yes,just as someone said, the birthday always reminds one of that he or she has become one year older than before since we are not young, hehe. I like a simple birthday celebration.

At 77 next birthday I don't bother about them very much however my kids seem to think I should do something. My wife and I agreed not to bother with birthday or christmas presents any more but I can't resist buying her something for her birthday when I see something nice and of course I never miss our wedding aniversary in 54 years she has always had a present

I have never forgotten my birthday because i have not been allowed to forget it by my family, relatives and my friends. When i was working in one of the Gulf countries mt birthday was celebrated in a terrific manner by my colleagues, for that matter we all celebrated each others birthdays in a grand manner.we had wild parties, drinks and dinner and dancing. After my return to my home city i ahve not celebrated like that but most of my close friends always wish me and one particular friend gives me a chocolate cake unfailingly.Since i am a bachelor and stay alone my brother who is settled abroad calls up to wish me.Otherwise for me my birthday is just like any other day and i don`t think of it too much.

Wow,I envy you very much. You've received such a grand birthday ceremony like that,I'll never have that chance. But I think that a simple birthday is quite good as long as you can feel fine enough.

From 1 year old until my debut, my parents always make a big birthday party for me. But, during my college years the budget is tight. We still celebrate my birthday, but not with very expensive party. when I was in high school, I usually celebrated my birthday inside the church. In the morning church mate serenade me.We begin in prayer of thanksgiving, then each of the visitors will give wishes and sayings. My parents believe that it is necessary to celebrate your birthday, because it is a sign that you honor or remember the one (GOD), who created you.

When I was a little girl, I cared very much my birthday. I was always expecting the party, gifts, my friends. Now is like a random day, and would be much better if nobody remember my birthday. Actually, I don't have many friends or people around me, so I don't get many "happy birthday", but there's always my mom and sister to make me a cake and say happy birthday, and is not something that I enjoy. I hate birthdays and happy birthdays especially mine. I love cakes, though. LOL

I do not care much about my birthday. It reminds me that I am one year older than I used to. It is hard to imagine on my side an older age. I like to be young as always. Often there are people around me asking me about my age and I am not quite willing to tell them, especially when I am no longer young. lol

I try to ignore my birthdays, but they keep occuring, even more regular than clockwork. It happens every year about the same time. I usually receive a phone call from each of our children and maybe, a delivery of flowers from my daughter. When I was a child, I tried to have a birthday party for myself, but no one showed up. On my 13th birthday, it was better. Several people did show up, mostly relatives, but I don't remember having much fun. Neither my mother nor I knew what to do. The only birthday parties we had ever been to were family gatherings where the adults stood around and talked and the children ran outside and played hide and seek, tag and other such games. At 13, I was neither child nor adult. My next and p0robably last party was many years ago when I was about 40 years of age. It was a surprise and was given by my step-daughter. I didn't know how to act then, either. She and I were kind of on the outs at the time. I'm very glad that you had a good birthday.

Hehe,at the same time of every year you can receive greetings and presents from your families, you are really a happy person. Yes,a child always wanted a pleasing birthday,so did you.But when you were standing in front of many relatives and friends the first time, you really didn't know what to do,I think that's normal. Though your step-daughter and you were on the outs, she still gave a birthday party for you,it's so kind of her,I think you two must have got along well again ever since then.Have fun!

I do remember my birthday but its not necessary for me to celebrate it. If I will be able to go out and eat my favorite food then its good enough for me. Its not necessary to throw a party and invite friends over for dinner.

Happy belated birthday to u! I don't mind my birthday but i don't want myself to be forgotten on that special day too. I can make do without celebrations, but i wish for some birthday greetings. I don't ask for much, as i believe in being recognized, and people close to me are not taking me for granted as time passes by. It feels bad to be forgotten especially by our loved ones.

Thanks a lot for your greeting! Yes,what you said really makes sense. We don't want to have a grand party every year, but we don't want to be forgotten, either. You really remind me of my son's birthday this year, his birthday is before mine, and I forgot it,too.I'd better ask my wife to cook some good dishes for him when he return home in some days.
