I hope you don't do any part of the climb by yourself. Have you seen '127 Hours'? It is about a climber who gets caught in a crevance and has to cut off his arm to save his life. My ex and I went one time and he insisted on climbing this one really scarey side of a mountain and the plan was that I would drive on down the road and pick him up. He took longer than I thought he should and I worried until I saw him coming around the bend.

yes, i saw that movie. my friends and i watched it simply because it's about mountain climbing, lol... yes we did have some fear at first, but at the end the thirst for summer mountain climbing still won. haha after watching that movie we promised to be more careful since we're not rich and we can't afford staying in the hospital, lol

Well, I am certainly glad to hear that. One trip to the hospital can break ya!

My son and son in law went mountain climbing last year. You need to be in good shape and train for high altitude (low oxygen) activity. Also, expect temperature changes and take jackets that can be put on or taken off easily as needed. Plan on taking enough water and energy producing foods. Even if you'll be out only one day, take a change of socks! As for me, I plan on staying close to home this summer. Gardening, working a little and doing radiation therapy for most of it. Next year I'll be more active, though.

thanks for all your advices, they're helpful. i've started mountain climbing last year and it was fun, we're planning to do it again this year but that still depends on our budget. lol hope you have fun this summer as well. :)
