So Cheesed Off...Again!

I think it's justified this time.
Now, we have really good neighbours that replaced the noisy ones we had at the start of this year. I don't do anything to upset them if I can help it, regarding noise.
However, today I didn't really have any choice but to play my hi-fi relatively loudly, roundabout 3pm.
Why did I resort to this? Well, the neighbours on the other side who can be as noisy as the ones that moved out, have decided to play sh!tty dance music practically all day. Drives me nuts. "Boom Boom!" I f*cking hate it, ('scuse my French).
I am currently playing internet radio on my computer from Canada (Man, I can't distinguish the accent from the Yanks, I really can't!) but I don't want to play it loud because 1) I don't want to upset my quiet neighbours and 2) it's now after 10pm.
I'm really p!ssed off living here now. John is out playing snooker so he can get away from here for a bit. He's also been back at work after the long Bank Holiday weekend.
Lucky him lol.
Well, at least I can get out and about tomorrow.
Sometimes, I feel like going out and never coming back. I wonder if that's how people "disappear?" They're so fed up they just have to get away. Don't worry, I shall never resort to such a tactic..but I can well understand those who do.
Hope you're having a better day!

I can understand your frustration. My next door neighbor gets up when her husband goes to work at 6 a.m. So she starts banging around and doing what I guess she calls 'singing' and goes at it most of the day. And honestly, she doesn't know how to sing. One morning she decided to hang pictures or something that made banging noises and this went on for the most of the morning. She's doing the singing bit right now (4:30 pm) but I can pretty well drown her out with the tv.
When she's doing all of this jolly stuff in the early morning though, I can't sleep. I stay up most of the night and the morning is my sleep time. I've wanted to stomp over there and give her a piece of my mind, but I would hate to start a feud.

When I lived in a duplex we had to ask the neighbors to quiet down at night, cause we had to get up around 4:30 a.m.That would last maybe a week. Our bedrooms shared a wall, and so I started vacuuming the wall very early whenever they got me up too early. I do not know if it helped, but it gave me satisfaction. My house now is a two story Victorian, and it was split into upstairs and downstairs apartment. The girl upstairs tended to have loud parties, wake my children, etc. I again resorted to running the vacuum early in the morning. Again, I do not know if it bothered them, but it made me feel better.

I run my vacuum all over the house when I'm tense. I've never run it up the wall though..thanks for the tip, I might try that!!

The difference between a Canadian accent and an American accent is that they pronounce "about" like "a boat" and we pronounce it like "a bout".
Thank you...

Is there no one you can complain to? There ought to be some kind of a curfew for loud music.

Typically, the "music" stopped when John walked in the door roundabout 11pm. The neighbours do have 3 kids under the age of 10 so I guess their parents don't want to wake them up..I don't know. This is the reason why I've never complained about them. However, they are known to the police as they have paid them a visit a couple of times (nothing to do with me) so I guess, if I wait long enough, Kenny will be led away in handcuffs for some unrelated incident.
I, for one, wouldn't be sorry to see him go. He's a waste of space and thinks he's "popular" round here.
The Mafia thought they were popular and looked what happened to them!

Hi Janey
I can appreciate what you are going through because I also have neighbors who choose to play really nasty rap, as loud as possible (they play their car stereo and I swear you can hear it from a mile away. I have nothing against rap, but the bands they listen to, and I couldn't name them if I had to, are hard core and the language is terrible. Its no wonder their kids who are very young walk around cursing for no apparent reason other than to curse. Everyone and everything is a mother f**ker and a b*tch "do ya feel me dog?" I think I'm going to borrow one of my mum's opera cd's and blast it out the window starting about 2am and playing it till 5am and see how they like it. I'm no fan of opera like my Mum, but I'll play it if I think they will get my message..From what I've seen, they are not the brightest bulbs on the tree so they probably won't get it but just keeping them awake will do it for me! "Ya know what I'm saying, DOG?

I just cann't imagine how uncomfortable I should be to live in noisy environment all day.If only neighbours all thought about others. As the saying goes, neighbours are dearer than distant relatives. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth doesn't do its work apart from giving vent to the anger.

The reason why I don't complain to the authorities about them is due to the fact they are not like this every day. Once a week on average and they never play music late into the night or anything.
Still annoying though!
