I sometimes do this when I'm looking for old topics. Because myLot doesn't want duplicate topics, I check if there are already discussions of my interests. Even if they're several years ago, I'll still reply to them. I guess the oldest I've responded to is a 1 to 2-year-old discussion.

I'm glad to hear you say that about duplicate topics because I often see discussions that are very similar and I wonder if anyone other than me actually check before they start a topic.

hi davideddi I was catching up on my older ones and found one that age and it had five new responses on it so I commented as I am here and alive and it was renewed. it does not hurt anything if one finds one thats old and respond as some of u s do stay on mylot.lol kind of nice when people like my old discussions enough to bring them to life.

Oh yes, but I have not done it very often. If I see that a discussion is old then I assume that nobody is interested anymore and leave it alone. Nevertheless, I have searched and found interesting discussions then only noticed after responding that they were very old. The good point is that they should reappear in the listing if responded to, so they could easily become popular again.

Yes, I have done that. I have also had people dig up my old discussions and comment on some that are close to five years old. It is okay, it is participation. That is what Mylot wants.

Hahahaha I actually have done the same. I was merely browsing with the topics that I would feel most comfortable reacting then after typing my heart out with all the thoughts that surrounded me about such a topic and posting my response, I realize that the topic is already 3 or more years old! It's really hilarious because there was a topic then that got me furious and I thought I'd absolutely get a reaction from the person posting after I responded only to find out that perhaps that person isn't active with mylot anymore! hhehehe So there you go, you are not alone in this one.
