Now here is a discussion and i want you to explain why.... So who is more important the doctor or the nurse and why? The doctor works with nurses and nurses work with doctors. But can the doctor work alone? or can other doctors work with a fellow doctor and act as a nurse? Same with the nurse. Can a nurse work as a doctor?

A nurse can become an ARNP and do many of the things that doctor's can. I am sure a doctor can do many things that a nurse does. However it is more to their personality types to do their own jobs. Nurses are more interested in the direct care aspect of healing.

In many ways, I think so. I think nurses tend to get more personally involved in the care of their patients. The doctor, to me, seems more like the mechanic.

There are both important. With their job, both had something to focus in. In operation, doctor has to focus on surgery so he needs assistant that knows about the equipment used. Some of the other jobs of the doctors like checking of physical status or test, not sure of the term are done by nurses. They check blood pressure, etc while the doctor is attentive to what possible cause of a certain disease or illness. I believe they are both important that is why both are inside the hospital.

I think they work hand in hand. In many rural places, they only have nurses to give emergency aid to the patients. However, most of these nurses are very experienced. They are able to diagnose and advise, if not they will call the doctor or refer the patients to the hospital if the condition is serious. I personally think both doctors and nurses are equally important.
