Two days ago we buried my brother :(

It has been two days now since Jimmy's funeral. I miss him. We all loved him so much. He was not my blood brother, but my family took him in and raised him since he was 14. He would have been 30 on May 14. He became my brother in that time and we were there with him during all his major life events. He had a military burial because he unexpectedly collapsed during a physical training exercise on the army base.
Prayers would be appreciated during this time for my family and his side of the family as well as his wife and her family. She is four months pregnant and has a two year old. His birth family had just reunited with him two years ago. All this has been such a shock for all of us. We all came together and attended the funeral two days ago. What a misnomer that word is- funeral because it has the word fun in it.

im so sorry for your loss. i understand the pain somehow, because my father passed away a year ago. indeed we feel pain and sorrow, but lets just keep in mind that those who left us early wouldn't want us to be sad. and lets use them as a motivation, an inspiration to do better every single day that we live. again, my condolences and prayers to you and your family.

Im so sorry to read this. Its scary to think that you can just die at anytime, even someone who seems to be in good health. This has to be a horrible time for everyone and I feel expecially for his wife. My husband is in the navy and not having him here when hes out to sea is very hard. Raising two kids on your own is not easy. Raising one and than expecting another knowing your husband isnt coming home, i cant imagine. My prayers are with all his family and friends.

Sorry to hear about the Loss of your brother, and at such a young age. I will be Praying for everyone who is missing him, and wish the Best for his wife and children. Too many times things happen that we do not always understand, and we just need to remember things happen for a reason and God is in control. Just need to remember to keep strong at this time and everything will be OK.

I can only hope that his bereaved family to move on and accept everything happened. too sad because we have the same birthday, may 14..tsk.tsk.tsk. the best thing to do now is to move on and of course life must go on. and to pray for the repose of his soul. rest assured, he's with our almighty God right now.

Oh no I have tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat as I read this. I am so sorry for your loss. To lose your brother is awful whether he was a blood brother or not. You are so brave to come on Mylot and tell us about it. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

That's awful, unexpected and very tragic in the family. Life is short and we must be sure that we accepted the LORD JESUS as our LORD and SAVIOR irregardless of our religion because God wants from us is a personal relationship with HIM. Condolence!

I am terribly sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family at this time. it is neber easy to lose a loved one. WE may not think that we can accept it, but time is the greatest healer.
It must have been so hard, so young. It just shows that no one is infallible. A young man of 30 years.....
I will pray for his family.
