I wonder how many "official" versions of the raid that killed Bin Laden...

there will be from this administration? I'm willing to give Prs. Obama credit where it is due, but there is a lot of room to wonder about a lot of things here. Other than the administration's say so, how do we know that any of this happened? We do know that there was a raid, since there is a lot of 3rd party talk about it. Pakistan, the Bin Laden family.. etc. However, the people in the administration can't even seem to tell the same story. It's starting to remind me of the Jessica Lynch story... where we heard all sorts of heroic feats by her, but when she was able to tell her own story, it was nothing more than her M16 jammed and she was taken prisoner. After all the celebrations, credit taking and pats on the back are over.. what will we learn about this event? If anything.

There have been 26 stories/changes in story so far and we're only a little more than three days into it.

Well,....the prez is up for re-election. All of a sudden there is a birth certificate, then osama is killed? too much of a coincidence, especially with all the different versions!!! It could be they've known for a while where he was but was waiting for the right moment...who knows with this administration?!

We probably won't learn much of anything from this, unless there's a probe of some kind in the future, or unless Osama Bin Laden appears somewhere else (on tape??) There are plenty of questions unanswered and the way this is being treated is doing anything but answering them. No one is going to enlighten us.

Well, there is a probe in Congress. With all the inconsistencies and questions raise, the one issue that seems worthy of probing is, the use of the name "Geronimo" in connection with Bin Laden. lol

Our tax dollars at work! Somehow, the dollar devaluation seems appropriate.

One of the first thing that should be done when dealing with a crisis situation is have only one spokes person and they release only what is agreed on and is factual. When you have different people giving out stories especially when you are trying to give the PC version and you want to sanitize it. One of the problems with giving out the story too quickly is that often you give ot information you did not intend to. Many years ago the Russians shot down Korean Airline Flight 007. There was an international incident and the US could not offer proof that the Russian story of it being an accident. In truth the US could tell the Russians the name and location of the officer who gave final approval to shot the plane down. They did not because it would have told the Russians how good our intelligence gathering was. By telling how we went about the operation and how the decision was reached told the enemy a lot about this administrations thinking and how they might react in a similar situation. By changing the story we are giving the enemy more information than they need to know. We got information for this person and that person, we got it when they were in other countries, this one gave us bad information which raised a red flag. All of this information is helpful to the enemy. In trying to prove that we are sensitive and really want to please everyone. The easiest story to tell is the truth but only the amount you want people to hear.

This is true, Bobmnu, except for the fact that even Obama himself can't seem to tell the story the same way twice.

I saw the pictures the white house has released.Three men laid in pools of bright blood. The white house has said, they will not release the pictures of OBL because the pictures are to disturbing. This has caused a great deal of controversy. One may think that is the purpose of not releasing the OBL pictures. The economy is really bad. Friday the unemployment report comes out.

Good question. There were two excellent articles about this on The Blaze - one by Meredith Jessup and one by Michelle Malkin. I think Malkin listed 20 takes and Jessup listed 28 different things that were changed over and over again. Jessup is a hoot. Like this that she said about the picture of bin Laden: It’s too gruesome, would offend Muslim sensibilities (something he worries about a lot — I personally do not give a warm fart on a wet Wednesday....)
