Students in my country usually have classes on morning or noon. So, they'll have lunches at their campus or department. When they must study whole day at university, they'll buy box lunch. Box lunch is including of rice, meat or fish and vegetable. You can see a box lunch at the image. I know that there are different among lunch of students in different countries. How is lunch of students in your country?

My younger cousins who are in uni and high school normally buy their lunches from the school cafeteria. Since we live in an Asian country, lunches normally consist of rice and a viand which has both meat and veggies. There are some who go for sandwiches since they're no frills but most students here always have rice or pasta for lunch.

In our place it depends about your social standing. It depends on how rich or poor are you or how much your money is. Actually, right now in our university, wherein most of us have to be at school whole day, ofcourse we probably should budget! So if you are wealthy enough you can choice from an expensive lunch maybe about 50 pesos and above! Thats an expensive lunch already. But if you're going thrifty, you can hassle yourself to go outside the school yard and get yourself a 30 pesos lunch!

Almost students here buy box lunch even they're rich or poor. Because box lunch is cheap and convenient with them.

In my country students will bring boxed from their home or will go to canteen. Since most of the students will have full day college, with a lunch break of approximately one hour or so.

Studying is hard. Students must study whole day, even they must study at night. I think that a good lunch is necessary for them.

When I was in college, I usually just buy my own food because bringing my food/lunch will be a little bit tedious because there are no public areas to eat it(no public canteen of some sort).

Oh, this is really a uncomfortable matter. We need a quiet and cool place for lunch. I couldn't eat anything if there are not a quite good place.

In the colleges here most go to the cafeteria and buy lunch, some may bring a bagged lunch but not so common. It has a very big variety such as fast food and or hot homemade meals as well. There are so many varieties as well neighboring restaurants that some will go out and purchase also.

Almost students here depend on their parents. So, they must spend very saving. They usually buy box lunch because they're cheap and convenient.

We have school from morning too and that means we have to have lunch in school. There are students who bring along their lunches. And there are students who goes eat in the cafeteria and some go to the 24/7 store and buy things. I personally go get my food from the store or go to the cafeteria, but only when they have the food i like on the menu. I love how the menu is different everyday.

This is convenient for you instead of bringing food by home. However, You should have dinner at home. I don't believe that lunch at restaurant is enough nutrients.

I think they are allowed to eat lunch in the cafeteria on campus. they are also allowed to bring their own lunch or they can leave the campus and got to a restaurant to eat too.

When I was still a student I usually bring my own lunch box with food prepared by my mom. but now a days I can see that most students are already buying food either from the canteen or a cafeteria outside the school campus. I think it's much safer if students bring their own food from home for they know that it was prepared clean and they can even save money. It's just that it's not convenient bringing another box aside from the school bag.

Well, it depends on what kind of school a student attends. In my country, it is normal for private school students to have box lunches. However, there is still the school cafeteria who provides students who don't bring lunch. If I know correctly, the students in the public school return to their homes on lunch break to eat their lunch. They usually go back to school for the afternoon classes. It also depends on the schedule. some students don't eat lunch at school because they go home before lunch time or they attend school in the aftershock with no morning classes. When I was a student (and still is, I suppose), I brought my own lunch when I was in elementary but I got rid of it since I found it bulky to carry. I also hated that the food is cold and clammy. It makes me lose my appetite. That make me convince my mother to give me lunch money. aside from lunch, I also buy things that I need in school. That practice lives on now in my live. since then, no more lunch boxes for me.

Students rarely bring their lunch to university. They usually buy box lunch. There is canteen at university, however, the price is more expensive than box lunch, so box lunch is the best choice with students here.

Several schools in Nigeria have their own policy there is no general or fixed policy. In primary and secondary school, pupils and student are told to come to school with their lunch pack or food. But there are parents who just give their kids some money with which they buy food at the school canteen. So it the parents and the rules stated by the school owner that determine the policy to be adopted by the child.

Hi there, I prefer to take lunch to Uni. I make pasta, sandwiches or fried rice at home and pack it up as lunch. My classes go on from 9 to 5 at times, so i need something nutritious and filling to keep me up for the day. Sometimes when i feel lazy, i buy stuffs from the cafeteria. I am a vegetarian, so i like getting vegetable lasagne or pasta. Our cafe has variety of vegetarian and non-veg diets. I see most of people getting lemon honey chicken and rice.. I like grabbing fresh sandwiches or sushi when i need a quick snack. Here in Australia, people like grabbing fries, sandwiches and non-veg meals for their lunch!

I have to say, that lunch sounds much nicer than the ones we have here! Our university lectures are very different depending on the day - some days I have a gap where I can come home and make lunch, but other days we don't have time. On the days when there is time to come home, I usually have something like soup, vegetable stir fry/pasta or maybe a sandwich. On the days when there isn't enough time, I sometimes take lunch (when I've been organised enough to prepare it the night before!) which is usually a salad/pasta salad or sandwich, and some snacks, like a banana and a packet of crisps. Other days I don't take lunch with me, and we'll usually pick up a sandwich from somewhere, maybe with a bar of chocolate. We do occasionally treat ourselves to a sandwich and a portion of chips to share. The only decent take away chips are from a fish and chip shop right next to lectures, but far from home!

At university, my lunch normally just take rice, egg and vegetable. i not take the chicken and fish because wanna to save money, i just take it one / two per week. Sometime i will take "nasi lemak" ,spice rice very popular at Malaysia. This food is very cheap and nice. Sometime if free, i would cook myself, but the food i can cook is very limited at univerity.
