I am having trouble with my computer today. Yesterday night Firefox told me if I wanted a new version. I always go for new free things so I said yes. What I forgot was that this changes waht I know and I´m in no mood to learn new ways. This is absolutly unfriendly. The refreshing sign disappearead. So here I am,, with this computer. Does anyone know how to bring the old toolbar back? I don´t even have Google on the upper right corner. HELP!!!

The refresh button is still there (that puzzled me for a bit!) but it has moved to the end of the address bar. Don't forget that you can always press F5 to refresh/reload the page and Backspace (

Hi and thanks owlwings...I found the refresh button quickly, probably because I searched in desperation when it was not in its correct position and my search box was there but I did not know I could use myLot search as the default search engine. I've just gone to the FF add-on page and searched for the myLot Search Engine to no avail. How do I make it my default search engine please.

I have now put my refresh button back where it was and I thank you again. For info on how to organise things so your open tabs reopen when you start your computer, please see my advice below.

The Refresh Button on Firefox 4 is in the Address Bar. It also serve as the Stop Button. The boys and girls of the so called non-profit Mozilla copied some stuffs on Apple's Safari.

. . . . and Wow Thank you very much boys and girls of the non-profit open-source Mozilla for making another new version of Firefox. The Add-ons doesn't work again. Aaaaaarrrghhh! These are always the troubles when they having a new version of Firefox. The developers of some add-ons updating are always late and sometimes it takes a long time of wait. Some they just stop developing for such add-ons.

I will also remember it : I upgraded to 4.01 yesterday, and I lost one of my best add-ons, MediaPlayerConnectivity, which is not actually available for v. 4. They should have say this before. I had to spent 4 hours to compile, recompile, and install the VLC plugin for FireFox, and like Marguicha I preferred the look of the 3.6, not included that FF 4 is not faster than FF 3.6 under Linux. I completely lost my time for no visible benefit.

I updated my Firefox as well. When I did, it took me to a page that told me all about how it all works. You can personalize all the stuff on your toolbar and the refresh button is the same as the stop and it was moved to the right side of the address bar instead of the left, but as i said, you can move it. I was actually thinking I might get the old version back too because I have been having some problems with the new one. I think it's making my internet slow for some reason. Go to this link to get an older version of Firefox: http://www.oldversion.com/Mozilla-Firefox.html

I'm feeling your pain now. I can't get used to this new version of firefox, and I'm opening things in a new window instead of in a new tab all the time because they swapped places Well, I'm sorry I can't help you with the technical questions, but I wanted to share the same experience. I hope we can all get used to it in the end, but I'm not too fond of it now.

I used to meet the same problem. I must uninstall new version, then install the old version again. You can do that. I think this is the only way to solve. Good luck!

Yes, this so called version of whatever just keep changing every now and then and we dod not know when they will manufacture something than can last. You will keep guessing and it is pain in the neck. Just stick ones that ou use for your work.
