Since facebook make people can "like" some one else comment in people status, i found that a few people that some how over use that function. I don't know what the reason, but it seem every time he / she comment on some one status, that person will start "like"-ing all the comment before his comment. He / She always do this and it is kinda annoying for me since facebook will give you notification every time people "like"-ing your comment. Do you ever know people like this? Do you know why the reason they do this? Also what do you think of people like them? Thanks for responding...

Well i do know it will annoy people if you use it too much, but i think it is okay if you use it for once in a while. If the comment was truly good, i think it is okay to "like" it. Anyway, did you ever use the button? What kind of problem do you think will happened if you use the button. Thanks friend for sharing your comment with us. Happy My Lotting.

Yes I have used it. Usually nothing happens, every now and then I will get a bunch of junk mail for a little while.

Oh good then. I think the like button is okay as long as you not over used it. Also, how do you get a bunch of junk mail, and who sent them. How did they know your e-mail. I really hate it when people sent me junk mail. Especially if the one who sent it is your friend, since you cannot block them because some time they actually sent important mail.

Well, I have a few friends who will do this - and I can only guess why. I think part of it is "PR" - they will "like" your comments, so you will like them back. Sort of an ego thing, eh? I don't mind the "likes", but I do think it's sort of strange when someone "likes" my comment and there's no reason for them to do so - especially if it has nothing to do with them (like if I do a birthday shout out to another friend they don't even know). Be glad it's the "like" button abuser and not a "dislike" button abuser . . . they have the thumbs down thing on Yahoo Answers and that causes worse problems!!!

Yes, i also sometime found people that i don't even know give me "like" in my comment. And yes, it will bad if there are a "dislike" button. There are many people who will abuse this, especially if that person really hate the other person. Thanks God there is no such button in facebook ( at least for now ).

I have noticed that people do this on there too. I guess they do not have anything else to do other than go in there and rate every single comment.

Yes i agree with you. Since they have nothing else to do, they do that to annoy people. Maybe they just want attention. I don't really sure. But it seem it happen now in my location, but in your place too. So i think this kind of act is kinda global. Well what do you do when you found people like that friend? Did you tell them to stop, ignore them, or something else?

I have come across several people like that. I especially hate the type who are so obsessed with something - a celebrity, a new song, a new show, a new product, etc. - so they have to "like" every single post they see praising it (in addition to rambling on and on about how great it is when half the time it isn't). The latest person I saw with a case of the obsessive likes had to do with a cover song she thought was "much better than the original" despite being "longtime fan" the original for years! Ummm... the cover wasn't that great - in fact, it was totally cheapened with a repeating techno-like keyboard beat in place of an actual instrumental arrangement, the vocals were over-enunciated and while expressive, did not capture the mood of the lyrics, and overall it was a pretty anemic take. If they could have used a more complex and orchestral method for the instrumentals, it may have been a decent take, but they didn't... they basically robbed the song of all the elements that really made it "speak." Moreover, if you really want to give a song the recognition you feel it deserves, Facebook posts with carelessly misspelled words and excessive "likes" are not an effective method. I find these obsessive fandom types of likes the most annoying by far - especially if the obsessive liking is of something that is downright mediocre at best. The obsessive likes regarding politics are pretty annoying too, like they get a $10,000 check each time they "second" someone's viewpoint that this politician or that politician was the best or worst ever. Not to say this makes me better than everyone else, but I am much more selective about the things I like. If someone writes on my wall, and there isn't really anything to say back, I may like their comment to show them I saw and appreciated their nice message. Other than that, though, I don't "like" very often. I find it pointless, for the most part, especially since your "likes" don't appear on your wall anymore. The fact that they get so out of hand so quickly is probably part of the reason they don't.

Yes it's true. Using "likes" to much is not good. Facebook create likes button so people will know what we really like. if we choice to "like" everything that can be like in facebook, than there is no point in that. I also some time use "like" for a good wall post that are not needed to be replied. Thanks for sharing this with us friend. You write quite a lot here :D
