Horse and horse-drawn buggy

My husband and I have been enjoying some free time taking evening rides in our horse drawn buggy.I really enjoy it and find that it is very relaxing. I have commented that if gas continues to increase, I may have to start going to the store in the wagon as we live a distance from town. Would you take a horse drwn buggy ride? Have you ever taken a horse-drawn wagon or buggy ride?

that sounds so lovely. i would do that all the time. what a great mode of transportation (gas here in canada is $1.40 per litre). the only horse drawn rides that i have been on are hay rides.

hay rides are cool, but they are usually a hay wagon pulled by a tractor. It is nice to watch the horse pull the wagon and it is so relaxing as it is not the fast paced life we have in our cars.

I was traveling around Eastern Europe and the walk to the lake was very long and tiring. Therefore I decided to go back in the horse drawn wagon. I found it very relaxing and enjoyable. I am pleased to say that the horses were well looked after. On my last trip I traveled to Cartagena De Indias and there I saw some horse drawn wagons going past. I know that gas prices are very high and it also costs a lot to keep a horse.

It can be very expensive to have horses, but we are fortunate enough to have some large pastures that they can graze in the summer. Hay and feed can be as much as car repairs in a year.

I would love to take a horse and buggy ride. It has been a long time since the last one I took. I have made the comment myself about starting to ride the horse everywhere.

I have considered trying to set up a business with them, but I believe that the insurance liability would be ridiculously expensive, If you lived near me, I would be more than glad to have him take you for a ride. It is fun! I hear a lot of people say that they are considering horses.
