I have a whole blog about it, but I can't get to that site right now. It was the Sylmar quake in 1971 and the Northridge quake in 1994. In both cases, our house didn't have that much damage.

Thank goodness I have not. I was in almost right in the middle of a tornado once in Alabama. It touched down about 5 mile from where i lived and really done a number on the little city. I remember driving through the next day and there were clothes hanging out of the trees. It was scary.

I have been through two earth quakes. One when I was about eight years old and another when I was about thrity five. I have been through floods when I lived in Pocatello and was younger. We have some heavy duty thunder and lightning around here as well and it has been reported that a couple of tornadoes have hit down near by by weren't much to speak of. And I have live through some forest fires also. One that came so close to where I was living that the smoke was choken and made me sick.

I live in tornado alley and have been through many of them. They are very frightening and I usually just do as the news says...protect yourself by getting in a center room with no windows with a blanket and other necessities. I crawl in there with my dog and wait it out. I hate this season as this is when they start popping up (or down in this case) everywhere.
