What scientific discovery do you want the world's scientists to focus on?

AIDS was my first thought. And then Diabetes and the Cancer. Then after that , maybe a way to make electricity out of garbage.

i have not really thought about this, and nothing has come to mind at first thought... i think almost everything now in the word does need priority, we need to fix a lot of things with urgency... and well i guess maybe we ought to work on it all the time, at the same time... =)

Yes, Cancer does suck. That would definitely have priority in my book. My mother and father and several closing extended family has been lost to this ugly disease. Aids is in my thought since Elizabeth Taylor passed. She was a spokesperson. I think I would go with these two. Thanks.

Cancer would be the number one choice for me too. Aids and all the other uncurable diseases. I read one that if these diseases were cured that the medical community would be out a lot of money though. I also read that pharmaceutical companies focus on the quick fixes because of the same reason. If they could cure people....what would they do then? Versus the monthly required prescriptions, people would only have to have a dosage. Anyway...yes...cancer..aids...all the monsters.

Hi inky, The first thing that came to mind was AIDS. I have seen a friend's friend die in front of my eyes due to AIDS. African countries are so badly affected by AIDS, i wish scientists were able to discover a cure for this disease. Cancer of course is the other one with great impact. Other than diseases i wish scientists could also be able to discover life on other planets. i know i am going off topic but i sincerely wish aliens did exist!

I want them to discover ways to solve global warming and other problems that our planet is facing right now. You see, we maybe living in different places but we only have one earth. If we don't care about it, then we'll die with it....
