Short Lived Facebook Game Addictions!

United States

I used to be a fan of Farmbille and played it ALL the time. Then suddenly, I became bored with it. Now, I've picked up a game called Car Town and am addicted to that for the moment. Will it be short lived too? Have you ever started playing a game, loved it, then suddenly became bored with it and stopped playing it? How long did you play the game for? What game was it?

hi steph! I like to play offline game more than online. I played some on Facebook but I can't remember its name. Too easy and make me feel bored faster.Perhaps because it is an easy type of game.

I agree. Sometimes the easiest game make it boring. People like challenges. I guess they made it easy so that people of all ages can play the games.

Oh, yes. I do that on Pogo, Archade Town and Big Fish as well. Love a good game. And once I get into it and have spent some hours I do find myself getting bored with it. Or I get to a level I can't get past and lose the excitement for a while. Then I usually go back to it after a while and see what I can do.

Well, I 'm already nuts so there wouldn't be far to go. I nearly forget about the game I got stuck on. Pogo is great isn't it? I love the word games.

I used to play those game but seems you need a really good internet connection for the online game playing. Mine hasnt been good since i moved. However i really dont have that much time for those games. The sims3 and sims medieval people need me too much. They cant live without me.

I have internet and its up and running. Its just for online gaming a cable connection is best. After i moved i used a wifi connection which was very poor. Connection was here one second gone the next and then back again. Spoiling the game playing. It was choppy. I now have a moden from my cell phone company. They had 3 available. The one i choose was souposed to be good for online game playing. But it turns out to be choppy just like the wifi. Anyway the sims is much funner than the games they have online.

I still play Farmville but there may a couple days I won't play, I just be sure to have my plot plowed and don't plant anything so the crops don't wilt. I also played Petville which I did get bored with and I play Frontierville that I don't play as often but when in the mood. I would still say I am still addicted to Farmville but if you play too many games on Facebook you can tend to get bored. The best way is to stick to one game at a time. Like you, especially one that you enjoy. It is always nice to have a variety of games not only on Facebook that you can choose the one that best suits you.

I agree. I never tried Petville. Maybe I will! I'm paying Car Town while myLotting at the same time. Helsp to keep the boredom of waiting for the car jobs to be finished down.

After you have played it a bit, maybe you can provide a review of your opinion of the game. May help others to know if they are interested in playing before the download the app. Just a thought. That is actually the problem I have, downloading the app and then not wanting to play it. Then when you have accepted neighbors and such you still get all the gifts and you are not even playing it. But car town sounds kind of interesting.

I remember sometimes checking my facebook at home after work and seeing the employee for hours on end playing games. Their rewards would be visible on my updates. I though gee aren't they suppose to be working.

Hi StephanieAnnC, I have done this so many times, Farmville, then Mafia Wars, then Frontierville and Cityville and my latest is the Gardens of time. I get to a high level and then seem to get bored with it all, still send gifts though although not active. Huggles. Ellie :D

That's pretty much what I do too, Ellie! Except I don't send gifts afterward.d I'm pretty much inactive after I reach the high level.

I played the Texas Hold'em game on facebook for a while. Maybe a couple of months. I liked it, but I got tired of it pretty quick. There would be times when it took a hundred years to load and then there were times when it wold freeze up. Seemed like it always froze when I had a good hand too...lol. I haven't tried any of the other games on there. I have a lot of friends that play farmville though.

Ah. I hate when games freeze or don't load. That's the worst.

Hi there StephanieAnnC!!! When farmville was still new, I became addicted to it and never stop playing it until I get tired.I've played it for almost a year and I am always in facebook account because of this game. Then suddenly a game called cityville have been invented and here I am now playing this game. Well I think that everything will come to its end because nothing's permanent in this world but change, and that includes our favorite games in facebook. When a new game is introduced and it becomes a big hit to people then we will also be tempted to try it.

I am still addicted to a few games on Facebook, lol! There are a few, like Restaurant City that I liked for awhile and then it just got to be way to tedious and boring and I've stopped playing.

Hi. StephanieAnnC. The only Facebook games that I grew interested into playing is, Get Revealed. This one of those fun applications where you can ask questions about other members on Facebook. For over a month, I have not played this game. I feel that there is no need for me to. I have become quite bored with Facebook lately. I don't even play the other games that my friends have sent me. I just am not interested into playing any of the games on this site.

Aw. Try Car Town! You'll find something. Facebook has gotten bored though lately. They have to add something new! Maybe music or something.

I have been playing Farmville. I have been alomst 2 years now. I don't get bored with it. There is always something new being added. I now have English Country side farm besides my home farm! Farmville have pig bredding now and Lady Gaga has something going on with Farmville starting tuesday with something to do with her new cd coming out. So FArmville is never boring! I would play other games but Farmville is enough for me,for now!

Yet, the games are addicting. So you play them a lot and then get bored of them. It stinks!
