What's with the arc eyebrows?

I admit I am no fashionista, and neither do I believe in botox nor any artificial restructuring of the face nor any part of the body. I have always believed that everyone has his own distinguishing mark, And that is what makes him different from anybody. Modern technology and science had altered the standard of the beautiful, and the clinically enhanced has now become the in thing. Well, who could stop anyone if she wants a permanent blackliner under the eye lids. Or perhaps a thinner pair of lips. What I can't take is removing all the eyebrows and tattooing black or brown rainbow arcs half an inch higher than the brow bone. Is that really prettier?

I believe that was in style several hundred years ago in Japan, and they say old styles always come back eventually. . .! Obviously, some people must find that look attractive, but I think it is very artificial-looking. And I, for one, don't think you should ever do anything cosmetic that is permanent unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure it is a change you want to keep for the rest of your life. . .suppose when you get older, your fake eyebrows start to droop (or just one does)? What then? And suppose your real eyebrows don't ever grow back? Then, even if you remove the tattooed ones, you are stuck with no eyebrows! Seems WAY too risky for me!

I don't think anyone should have their brows taken off and moved. My cousin had it done, and I think it looks strange. I can see the benefits of having eyeliner being permanent. It would save a lot of time putting on make-up, but it would be very painful.

as someone who loves thick and shapely eyebrows,I don't get the whole shaving off of eyebrows and having a thin arch tattooed.having thin eyebrows can make someone look older.I prefer to have a permanent brown eyeliner tattooed on my eyebrows, but I wouldn't remove the hair.I would like to have the eyebrow AND the tattooed eyeliner.I feel younger with thick eyebrows.also, your eyebrows can make your face look either lively or dull.

to me the tattooed on eyebrows are a little much. there ususally too extreme looking. for people having extreme looks or feature suit them. so i guess it depends on the person. i personally wouldnt do it i like my eyebrows as is.

One golden rule in fashions and fads is doing things nobody dared to do before. So shaving of eyebrows will catch the attention of a daring and reckless few.but it will be a fashion with a very short halflife

Hi Eileenleyva, I'm with you on this. I do think that there are certain instances where surgery can make a huge difference in a person's looks and ultimately their self-esteem. I would say that those cases are rare. Back when I was younger, a good doctor would refuse to perform surgery on a perfectly fine face just because someone wanted a different nose or lips or higher cheeks. As for the eyebrows, well, I have a friend who had that done when she was in her 20's. She's a very pretty girl and while a little weird, it looked fine. She is now in her mid 30's. The older she gets, the harsher it makes her look. I would have to think that tatooed eyeliner would have the same effect.

is there such? i can't help but laugh and imagine how that would look like! a very thin brow already makes one ridiculous ( if not properly done or does not fit the feature) what more that? i do not always touch my brows.. i am not really high maintenance nor i am also fashionista, i really do not care much as long as i am clean and presentable that is enough for me...

Much like you are, I am the kind of person that thinks that natural beauty is a lot more beautiful than artificial beauty. I believe that the reason that people have these strange (by my opinion) things done to their bodies is so that they will look like they age more gracefully than ordinary people do. I know that I don't think that it is beautiful, instead I think it is something that is quite ugly.

I'm not sure about that because it surely doesn't work for me! I don't see it being any prettier because once it's tattooed on, it can't be removed. It might suit the shape of our face now, but what happens when we are older? Once our facial shape changes, everything changes accordingly, and won't it be weird to have a good nice looking fake eyebrows on a old haggard looking face?

Every woman should ancestors better your eyebrows so that they can make it more beautiful. Open face and to combine with her ??face and oval him.I personally like very thin eyebrows slightly rounded up. I've heard that eyebrows also human nature issue.is not necessary to have the most fashionable and modern do. It is best to make them as though they want then I will grow and can change their formif you do not like. I already found my eyebrows and so like.years I have not changed because it is my right. nice day!

I don't like such things! If we are born as normal person there is no reason to alter our body. I believe surgeries are for those who suffer from diseases and illnesses. Why they want to a patient when they are should be one?

Eileen...I am in full agreement with you. I had an aunt who would tweeze her eyebrows halfway off, leaving just about half an inch on the center end, and then fill in the outer end with pencil. I saw her once without the penciling and my, she did look weird. Why anyone would do that is beyond me. On the other hand, as I have aged, I have developed renegade facial hair. Not only has my beard and mustache gotten thicker but I have developed the odd wiry, long eyebrow hair. Right now there's only one or two of them and they are easy enough to tweeze but I can see anyone whose eyebrows have gone completely whacko going the route you mention. Still, unless your eyebrows are doing the "sproing" act on you, I have to say the natural look is always best. After all, your body is God's creation and He says it is good. Who am I to argue?

hi friend, I won't dare touch anything in my body that God or nature has bestowed on me because I believe it was placed there for a purpose by him or if you do not believe in God then let's just say Mother nature not unless it's a threat to my life, well being or if certain medical issues are involved, I'm just fine with how I look
