When my son was a kid,we always wanted him to say "Take your time, please!" to us after he finished a meal, and we would say “You are a good boy!”. And now my son's far away from home, but my lover always want me to greet her like that, and she usually says "You are a good boy!"...... Do you like your lover does that way?

How cute and nice for you two to share something in this way. Mine not exactly that way but he always calls me doll. I rarely in 7 1/2 years that I know him has he called me by name. The very few and rare times he has called me by name I would look at him like as if something was wrong. lol

Hiya six, For me to sit down just lately with all my Family is a luxury of some kind as everyone is dashing off here and there and always eating far too fast. Most of the time I call my Husband "Nino" which would sound "Ninyo" (grin) that is an expression from the South of Spain and I use the same accent as them to express I usually say "Que haceis ninyo" what are you doing luv? sort of that kind of thing. One thing I do is to avoid talking about News of any kind like off the Television and all that kind of stuff when we are eating or relaxing. Most times he calls me Sue for short which is what I prefer also.

Hiya six, No far from that a long way in fact. My expression is to lift him out of his sad Days and it works most times. Nino is a Southern Expression you see so I make him laugh a bit imitating their accent too. Also it only mainly works with him as my kids think that I am pulling their legs they have not understood the meaning of all that. I have tried to explain to them but they are each in their own thing and you cannot reach them unless they want you to.

Hehe, such relaxing callings are really good for the families as long as they are not rude to one another.

I think that is great that you can still carry on the tradition in some kind of way. My husband and I say those type of things to each other too.

Oldsix691418, I am sure this is really funny but apart from that I am assuming that she misses her son here. I hope all's well with your son.

Yes,I think that's also one of the responsibilities of our families. If there's no care and love in the family,we can't find any happiness there, you young guy must have known that earlier.

Man are just like grown up kids, so i understand why your lover does that to u. It's either she's missing your son, resulting in her treating u like him, or simply u are acting like your son. It's not a bad thing because it shows she cares and loves u. It's better to be pampered than to pamper someone. Appreciate what she does for u because it's a sweet memory.

Hi,Sanitary! You really know it deeply. There must be care and love among families,or there's no happiness that we want.Actually I put almost everything at her disposal, and sometimes she cares me just the way she does to a kid, hehe. But that is not pampering,I think.Have fun!

How funny that is!It reminds me of a Chinese idiom:husband and wife are always courteous to each other like guest. My better half and I are an affectionate couple too but we are usually in all seriousness and seldom make a joke each other.Perhaps It is because we were born in different times.

I agree with you. In fact you are not too elder than me.If a joke happened naturally between you two, then there'll be the second time, hehe.
