Falling into place

I often marvel at how things fall into place in life. I really thought my granddaughter would have a bad time of it after her husband desserted her. But she has bounced back and ended up making a special friendship with the bio father of little Owen. I am glad to see it. So, how is your life? Was there some bad times and now things are falling into place nicely?

That's good to hear the things are falling into place for your granddaughter. I have had a depressing work situation for almost a year now. And, now, after waiting for a long time, I'm receiving invitations for interview here and there. This is such a good timing, as the situation here are work couldn't get any worse.

Thanks, HWG!
I'm so looking forward to that future discussion as well.
Toes crossing means more luck for me, I think!

I have been through several types of hell in my life but here I still am! For a long time I always seemed to find 'a worm in the apple'. I can't say my life is a bed of roses now but I have learnt some valuable lessons on the way. That's what life is all about, learning from our successes and failures, and then moving on.

That is the story of my life. Things are actually pretty good for me, but I never know when there is going to be the piano fall on my head. I think that all things are for a reason and even the worst times can be for the best.
I am glad to hear that your daughter is doing well and moved on. It might be the relationship she has been preparing for.

Ah, yes! The piano on the head. I know it well. This guy she is with now is not a very sound fellow but he's hers not mine.

Hi there,
Having been single for a long time my son and daughter did not know me to have a companion in their lives and I wanted to keep it that way until and if the right person came along. Their father leaving out of their lives when they were so young and never looked back. Well, life is funny and 8 years later I did meet someone and was not sure my son would take it well. Well he did not take it well at all because he was, though the younger of the two the man of the house, or at least he presumed the role, lol.
Anyways I was reluctant because, well you know how it goes, the what if the guy and I did not work out. Well, time passed and although my kids were later teens I often tell them I was going out with a friend. My son would be livid and say things like, you know you are too young to be a mother of us kids our age and the younger men today will take advantage of you. So true because somehow I use to without their knowledge always attract way younger men. Anyways, I finally sat both my kids down and explained my love for this man. Yikes my son went ballistic and upset that it would not be allowed, that no way, this and or that. In fact the day I invited him for dinner my son was absolutely quite, I felt bad and embarrassed, not that he was rude but that he would not socialize. After the evening was over, I thought my son would be upset and actually approached me and gave me a hug and said, he appears to be really nice and I like that you like him. hehehe... longer story short, it is now almost 7 full years later, I live with my boyfriend for six and my son absolutely loves him. So just when you think things may not be good sometimes people enter our lives for a reason.
Very happy to hear your grand-daughter has a special friendship during her hard situation.

Certainly that all worked out well. Kids are funny aren't they? Yes, I am glad things worked out well too.

Aww...that's sweet.
It's always hard to introduce a boyfriend to your kid, but I'm glad all things have worked out for all of you. I guess that you have found the right person and wish you many, many more years together!
Oh, BTW, how's the thespian?
