Ok, guess this was US time in all the news stories we have been hearing.I'm in Australia and it is now almost 8.00 at night here on the day of the 21st.It's been a really lovely day weather wise, I slept in a bit as I worked really late last night. So I'm just wandering how everyone else is feeling about this. Were are you? And what time is it there ?

The world as we know it ends with every second that passes and is created anew. Every new moment to time presents us with fresh opportunities and decisions which we may make of what we wish. What is past, is past and cannot be changed; what is to come is largely unknown. That is why the only sensible way of living is to 'live for the moment' ... 'carpe diem' ... 'seize the day'. The story that the world is about to end is due to one man's very dubious mathematics based on some very questionable assumptions. He already forecast the 'end of the world' in 1994 and, when it didn't happen, said that he 'made a mistake in his calculations'! In fact, what he predicted for today was NOT the end of the world but 'Judgement Day' or 'The Rapture' or something like that. According to his theory, the End of the World is due to happen on October 21st. I can no more give credence to that than I can to any other of his predictions.

Hi. owlwings. I can't give credence to the world ending on October 21st at all myself. They claim that the world will end on December 31st or whatever.. All of these false predictions have become nothing but boring, hilarious and totally outrageous. When people make false predictions, it just shows everyone and God that they don't read the Bible at all. God never said in his WORD when the time will come when Jesus comes back to earth. Nor does he even give a clue to the time frame either.

It occurs to me that if Jesus Himself clearly said that he didn't know (nor any of the angels, only God the Father), why should anyone else know or even be able to 'calculate' it from what is written in the Bible? There are too many false prophets who base their lies on what is LITERALLY written there without understanding that only the Holy Spirit can guide us to its REAL meaning.

Hi. missbdoll. It is 2:07 pm EST. The world is still here. I am not believing anything that God has not said in his WORD. The Bible is the truth, not what man says. Why can't these false prophets understand this?

I am wondering why 'missbdoll' doesn't come back and answer. Perhaps, for her, the world really did end!

I am in the United States it was supposed to be around 8:00PM last night. I didn't really pay much attention to it. I didn't even hear about any of this until like 5:00 last night so I didn't really pay all that much attention to it. They have been saying things like this would happen so many times I don't really pay much attention to it.

I'm from Asia, and not believed on the issue end of the world may come in minute or somethings like that. I don't believed that there is anyone know about the judgement day will come on this month. Because the bible is very cleared. No one knows when the time of the lord? Even our Lord Jesus Christ, said he don't know the time but only the Father..God.

thank God it's next day then... I really am fascinated by apocalypse and prophecies of the end and stuff like that but I never heard about this before, just today in MyLot. I guess we can see clearly the bible was written by man. The book is so full of hatred that can't possibly be written by God, I only love the Jesus Christs sayinsgs about forgivness, loving others like we love our selves, those are angelical words.

Please don't lum all 'Christians' into one group - - most of us are pretty sane and try to follow the teachings of Jesus. We're not perfect - just forgiven, and trying to live it in thankfulness. The Bible was in fact written by holy men of old, as the Holy Spirit spoke to them. In the 2nd Peter 1:21, it says: "men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God." At first we might think that this is talking about oral speech but reading the whole chapter shows that Peter is speaking about the Scriptures and the confidence we may have in believing what they reveal to us. First, the verse tells us that men spoke. So that men wrote the Word of God, as inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible was written over a period of around fifteen hundred years. There are at least forty persons who wrote books. Some of these men are well known because they identified themselves as the authors. For example, persons such as Paul, James, and Peter said that they wrote books. Other books, including Kings and Chronicles of the Old Testament, are not identified with specific authors. However, we believe that persons, including Ezra the Scribe, studied the official records and compiled the books from them. As to the end of the world - - the man predicting this needs to re-read his Bible. It says that "no one" knows that day or time and besides that, there are still prophecies even from the old testament that have yet to be fulfilled. As far as the hatred is concerned - - God had to show us the absolute depravity of man with out any honest, respectful reguard for God, and how their decisions brought the judgement of God upon them. It is never God's perfect will to bring judgement. He would far prefer that humanity would love and respect Him (not a church or religion), and just do what is right and decent, in an honoring of Him. The Old Testament was all about laws, rules, and regulations - - some were God's and much was 'added to' God's requirements by the people of that time. I was then, and is still now a 'control thing' for the religious leaders to keep folks under their thumb, so to speak. The New Testament shows the absolute love of God for humanity, and the offering of a sacrifice for our sins (Jesus). As we receive Him, we can then live for Him, and bring peace and joy to our lives and others. Hope I have helped some in my explanation. Have a great WEEK !

It will most likely end one day. As we have seen, the harbingers of doom will have to go home on this occasion, and think up another set of religious tenets to make our lives more miserable....

I didnt think so, as it does say in the bible that the day and time are unknown. I am not positive that something hasnt changed. As things seem to be changing on a regular basis anyways. People seem to be loosing that sense of human compassion that has always been the thing to keep people at peaceful ends.

Hi, As usual I went to my college took my classes and coming home took light meal and went out for some urgent task. Only in the evening came to know that it was 21st May - doom's day. I though let happen what is to happen. And here it is 3;22 pm Sunday, May 22nd but as soothsayer said nothing came t happen. To be frank I do not believe in such prediction. They are simply cheat and after cheap popularity.

I went about my business as usual worked 1/2 a day, mowed my lawn and went over to my old neighbors to cook out. It's Sunday 5/22 10 am and we are still here. I wonder what this guy's excuse this time. He predicted the same in 1994.

I am praying yesterday that the world not yet to end, although my husband was away from us because he has worked there in Australia. Nevertheless, my hubby celebrates his 48th birthday yesterday. And, as practiced, I always prepare simple foods for us here with my kids. But to be honest with you, I thought the end of the world is really would happen yesterday, for the reason that we hit by earthquake and here in our place was the center. Thanks God, it was not as strong as japan had, no damaged infrastructures reported. It was around nine o'clock here in the Philippines so ten to eleven o'clock there in Australia. We are still thankful because we still see the beauty of the world. Instead of doubting the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, we should consider the time we have right now as the chance being given to us as God's way of showing us His mercy, for He does not want anyone to perish, but rather for all to come to repentance.

I think its very rude to make a suggestion as would the world end in a few hours. I think this is done merely by people who want attention and they do not care what this will have to them for consequence.

Not sure what the time is that the world is supposed to end but I dont think it will happen. I mean I would love it if it did so I could go home and live with our heavenly father and see all of my family and friends that have gone on before me. Am I ready for this to happen. No but if it does I wont complain.

I've only just heard about this "prediction" this week, and was alarmed that Christians are involved in it, who should know better than to pin this event to a specific date. It's a fool's errand. When the world does end, no one will know. Even Jesus Christ Himself said He wasn't privy to this knowledge when he lived on earth. (Matthew 24 & Mark 13 in the Bible) But there's a lesson to be learned here - we all are encouraged to ready our souls to meet God at any time, and not be rejected by Him. If you're still around on the 22nd, it would be safe to assume the end of days will come another day. Keep myLotting in the meantime. Lol

Now in chennai, tamilnadu (India) the time is 9.18 Pm. NO changes here. So dont worry about the world ends. Be happy & enjoy each and every minute in your life. If u think about the world ends, then u will loose happiness, and u feel a small insect is flying around your head. So relax and enjoy your life and forget about the future wat happens. ENJOY EACH & EVERY MINUTE IN THE PRESENT LIFE. This is my suggestion.
