I am not referring to anything broken but my pockets and savings account! Yes! I was happy last week Monday because i got my mid year bonus early and i was looking forward on saving it since i already bought all the things my kids need for school this June... and that midyear bonus is an extra money for me..and i was like saying..."atlast" BUT!!! it happened, my husband needs help and that meant money. Yes and of course we need to spend for medical expenses. and i do not know whether i should say..sad to say.. but nothing is left of it now..that was like only 4,000 something... but it was something..now its gone. because the hand surgery costs like 2,000...plus tetanus shot of like 1,100..and the medicines that costs 127 pesos each three times a day! Oh well, i am not regretting that i spent for him because i saw the pain in his eyes and he also spent his money..he gave me too..so we really did spend a lot for that hand of his...but really. we are both broke and we cannot help but laugh about it now.

hi, for the health of someone we love we really spend money for them, especially when they really need it just for there health and to survive to,and even our savings will come out in terms of family or love ones.

Don't fret, Jazel! Money slips away easily these days no matter how we intend to save it, because there are just too much obligations and responsibilities that we need to spend it on. What's important is that, your money had been well spent. First, for school stuff (very important) and second, on your husband's emergency condition. No amount of money can repay the peace of mind you get from ensuring that your family is well provided and also safe from harm. Money, although easy to spend, is also easy to earn. Good thing that you can just laugh about it. Stay positive! =)

yes it would be easier to laugh about it and think of ways to earn it back rather than to cry over it and be stressed

Sounds like the bonus sure came in handy!(ok bad joke i know but I couldn't help myself). At least you was able to pay for everything that he needed. Can you imagine if you did not have it and had to ask family and friends for a hand-out? (i promise you that one wasn't an intentional joke!) He would not have been able to get the surgery right away. Also, your family would be hounding you for their money back. So, you are lucky to have gotten it when you did.

Why? what happened to your hubby's hand? don't worry, money will come, but it is important for your husband to get some medical attention and treating him like that is something husbands and wives should do, to help each other, just got curious what happened to your husband and that he needed an operation as what you mentioned.

He had some abscess in his right middle finger and it got sooooooo big and filled with pus he was hurting so much that he cannot even move his whole arm..and the only way to relieve the pain and the pressure is to have it incised and remove all those pus in it.. we do not know the reason why it happened.

That is so cool that you have that attitude towards that dilemma. Imagine if you did not get that bonus. What would have happened to that hand. There is a saying, "God will only give us the trials we can handle." I guess your case proves it. The most important thing in this life is our health so it was a good investment. Good luck.

Don't think you're broke. Try to think that you're gonna have money. Optimistic thinking sort to speak. They say if you keep thinking you're broke, then money would have a hard time finding it's way to you :) Besides, only a couple of days and it's payday again.

I'm not laughing because of your dilemma but because I can very well relate to it... Money just can't stay in my pocket, though in your case it was for a very practical and needed reason but mine is always just because I forget to budget and my man has to give me allowance, because I wouldn't ask from my mother anymore and I would end up not eating...not healthy considering I have hyper acidity... I have tried so many times to save to no avail, but at least now I can hold on to my money till my next allowance...
