Do you find that you tend to only respond to discussions in certain interest areas or are your responses fairly balanced between all of your interests? Do you respond to discussions outside of your interest areas often?
I usually go to the "Discussions" tab at the top and select "New" then choose from the ones that pop up there. Typically, they are within the entertainment categories - music more than anything then movies, television, reading...

Hello Crimsonladybug,
I have a few interests that I like (and a favorite one, too) and most of my activity refers to those interests. But if a friend of mine start a discussion into a new interest (one I haven't noticed before), I participate, because I think that's what friends are for. Sometimes I add that new interest to my list and I participate in other discussions from that interest.
Sometimes, when there are no new discussions into my favorite interests and no discussions started by my friends, I also do the same trick with "Discussions" - "New".

I try not to think only of certain categories when I decide to post in a discussion,my decision depends first of all on the title of that discussion;sometimes the title might be interesting, but the discussion itself doesn't seem so appealing,so I give it up.Anyway,I try to keep an open mind and discuss about a variety of topics, but of course I have my own a preferences and when I see a discussion related to the things which interest me the most it has priority over anything else.

I always respond to topic that i can relate with.
Even if it is under my interest if i cannot relate with the topic,i don't respond to it.
It is easier to write comments when i know the subject,or what the topic header is talking, asking ,the whole content matters most.
I don't like to look/sounds like knowing it all when in fact i really don't know what the topic is all about.

I am all over the place. There are so many avenues here from where you can pick topics that interest you. I even go to some users' profile pages and pick some topics from there as well. Sky is the limit. The home page http://www.mylot.com/ is the place from where you can pick the most.

Majority of the time, i tend to stick to the discussions of my interests since I can have a good understanding and a quick idea and reply in my mind about the content of the interests. But there are also times when I do get bored with my interests or simply has too much energy in mylotting that I tend to surf for other discussion that might interests me. Since mylot has a ton (pages and pages) of interests that I cannot cover, I tend to surf freely. I guess it just my luck when I stumble upon a relative discussion that I can participate into.

Hi,crimsonladybug.
As i am new in my lot,so i respond to the discussions only depend on whether i can understand it,certainly,I choose my interest more than the others,I find out that entertainment does more than others.Maybe people want to have fun,so they talk about entertainment.
