It says that most average people lie everyday and the most frequent lie they make is the word "I'M FINE".....do you agree?

Lie, lie a lot. Morning, noon and evening. . I lie when I say that out of sight out of mind, and that tears and wipe away sins. Lie when they say that the universe is infinite, because they find you. In dust, the stars, moon, the sea. I dream of lying when they say something, always you. Lie when they say they are colored, you smile, actually, I'm gray. You bring back my pastels? Lie when they say that the bed is not huge. It's where I lose weight easily. Lie when they say they do not hurt when a hand and include a void. It's a sadness that my eyes strange. Crazy fingers crouched not miss. There's something causing them to seek the truth. Hand lie when they say I do not cry when sad embrace a past dream. Something does not let her come to terms with resignation. I lie when I say I agreed. Not yet ... Lie when they say they still do not break a world and be born so they understand that pain was to be in my life. And I lie when I say that not a single thought in thousands of pieces that can not collect them. I am not lying when I say you just lying still existing in my life. Until gonna lie to me? I'm tired. Are you going to blame one another truth, my truth? ...

Hi whengcat Yes I do agree and it is my biggest lie of the day, lol. I tend to always be fine no matter what is wrong with me because somehow I rather say I am fine then speak about what is bothering me. I do not like to repeat and hear myself explain issues it tends to bother me then actually outwardly speaking about them.

I must be very untruthful then, because I'm always saying," Oh! I'm just fine!" But perhaps this is because I haven't been to a Dr for over 30 years, and unless a Doctor prescribes a medication, who can tell if he is well, or if he is sick? So I'd have to say, "No I don't agree!"

"I'm fine" could generally mean you're fine. However, it could be broken down into different pieces. I'm fine with my family, school/work, tax, dog, etc and not fine with our neighbor cos they said something bad about our family. Let's say the latter affects you real hard emotionally or however. Someone asks how you are doing. You say you're fine unless you want a long conversation with the person. =)

First of all, one must define what a lie is. Lying is not just the opposite of telling the truth. Lying is about intent. I intend to deceive you for my gain. Emotionally or physically. People can lie using the truth as a shield. All of our politicians are always telling the truth or the part that will make their point of view seem correct. That is lying by omission. The 'I'm fine' is not necessarily a lie but a limitation on what parts of me I am willing to share with you. Think about the 'I am fine' as 'I am fine with my relationship with you at this time.'

Yes, because we sometimes don't want to share what we really feel to others and get things complicated. We rather keep it to our self and give others a front that we are happy and everything is just okay.
